I wouldn't be too quick to judge Codie based on his first year. He was the National #66 recruit in last year's class.  KJ Adams was also the #66 national recruit and had a progression like this:

Codie will eventually make a leap. If not this year, then the year after.

I'd love to see it. Either way need more bodies. If Codie is a legtimate starter on a good SEC team then we need someone behind him .

Charlie Villanueva, Josh Dobbs, and Landon Jackson all have alopecia too, as everyone on this board loves to point out a million times whenever they see anyone with alopecia.

So what’s it like living with Alopecia?

We gonna get a white guy who can shoot 3s or what? Bc Barnes, Shaka and Beard decided to do that once they left

Weaver better start this year.

We're probably going to be better off staggering Weaver and Swain. Hard to play 2 wings who aren't outside threats unless one/both improve a good amount.

Weaver is that player that other teams can't stand. I love that he's coming back. Immediately my favorite player on next year's roster.

Texas Hoops: Size everywhere, more portal additions to come

For years Texas fans have clamored for a roster with true bigs and size across the board. Well, Sean Miller is already proving he is your guy in that regard.

The three portal additions so far are a 6-foot-8 wing/F that will be an NBA draft pick when he leaves Texas, a 7-foot center that will very likely be an NBA prospect after two years in Austin and a very athletic 6-foot-7 wing/F that shoots it from three at 39%. And there will be two more portal additions to the roster, with one being another big man.

The current Texas roster now features five players that stand 6-foot-8 or more, with more 6-foot-10 addition on the way.

Texas current 2025-26 roster...

Tramon Mark, CG, 6-6, Gr. (10.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists)

Jordan Pope, CG, 6-0, senior (11.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists)

Chendall Weaver, G, 6-3, senior (6.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists)

Camden Heide, F, 6-7, junior (4.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 39.2% from three at Purdue)

Dailyn Swain, F, 6-8, junior (11.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals at Xavier)

Matas Vokietaitas, C, 7-0, sophomore (10.2 points, 5.4 rebounds at FAU)

Malik Presley, G/W, 6-5, RS-sophomore

Nic Codie, PF,  6-8.5, sophomore

John Clark, PF, 6-8.5, freshman

Jamie Vinson, PF, 6-10.5, sophomore

Xavier player in portal Texas leads for ...
Lassina Traore, C, 6-10, senior (11.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists in 2023-24 at LBSU)

Portal targets ...

Texas will take one more combo guard, and it will be a shooter with enough size.

The 13th scholarship…

Texas will be patient here. Could be a young PG or a skilled big to develop.

Sean MIller's staff ...

Chris Ogden - General Manager

Adam Cohen - Associate Head Coach

David Miller - Assistant coach

Ulric Malagi - assistant coach

Ryan Anderson - Assistant coach/Director of player Development

Ryan Reynolds - Special Assistant to the Head Coach

Cam Miller -Director of Operations

Listen, I think we can all agree that if I didn't channel my inner Helobious yesterday, we don't have ginger Sean Bradley committed today, so you're all welcome for landing us a much needed Center.

It's great and all that Miller got one lucky commit, but he's still the love child of Rodney Terry and Shaka Smart. He makes Charlie Strong look organized and Tom Herman seem likeable. He's destined to fail, and there's no fucking way he lands Traore or any other big time transfer.

If this lures Cooper Flagg into the transfer portal and then to The Fo’ T Acres, I will give you a positive rep every month until he leaves for the NBA!
