Dale’s new voice. It’s ok.

Pitch/sound is close, but to me it's more off in the delivery/timing. My best guess, which is sprinkled with a ton of hope, is that there was little time to prepare for the new voice. So it’s possible it gets better in S15 with more time to study and work on dale’s character.

Hardwick had lost his fastball during the hiatus, understandably. Huss was noticeably better and hopefully he'll be around much longer.

Don’t know what I was expecting but 2 episodes in and I’m kinda underwhelmed. Bobby in the beer episode seemed kinda like a dick to Hank, and how did Hank not know Dale was elected Mayor, did he go to Saudi Arabia and not keep touch back home?

He didn't even know about hybrid vehicles (yes, like the ones from Season 4 of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which would've aired over a decade before Hank went to Aramco)

One of my favorite parts was Hank's evolution from this:

r/KingOfTheHill - Why you do don't you Clon have understand? to hate what I don't hate you Bobby I meant soccer Oh, oh yeah. I hate soccer. Yes.

To this

King Of The Hill Revival: Why Hank Hill Suddenly Likes Soccer

He left Texas, went to a part of the world where soccer is the dominant sport, learned the rules and appreciation for the game and became a fan

Growth Growing GIF by Insecure on HBO

I am guessing Hank got really into soccer in Saudi Eye-rabia because:

A noon kickoff in Texas would be 9pm there
The Cowboys' record (and playoff record) the entire time he was in SA was pretty average (regular season) to abysmal (playoff success), so I doubt he bothered too much with trying to figure out how to watch games, even in the American compound

Had some good moments but overall, meh but that's to be expected. The show didn't need a re-boot at all.

It’s not a reboot. It’s a revival/continuation

No self-respecting Texan is going to ever be a soccer fan. Seems like the show is pushing too hard in the PC direction instead of taking a more balanced approach. You can stay true to your roots and still grow. Cobra Kai did a fantastic job of showing this with Johnny.

I've enjoyed it. I've laughed during every episode.  Peggy comforting Connie and then ask if she would say that she's a better mom than Minh cracked me up.

I'm happy with the revival and can't wait until next season.

Meh, splitting hairs. The original had a finale. No continuation needed but I get why it's done. People eat this up and it's easy money. You can do with this with any show out there.

Some of it was good, a lot of it wasn't. I'll watch next season just because I'm a big fan but hopefully next season is better than this one.

It’s post pandemic, so I’m guessing current year timeline or close, but Bobby is just 21 which means unless they left Bobby with a friend to finish HS they’d only have been living in SA for a couple of years and would have heard all the hometown gossip from Bobby. I’m overthinking it, glad to kinda catch up with the gang and I’m looking forward to finishing the season but so far I’m thinking Thomas Wolfe was right about going home again.

God some of y'all are pedantic fucks. Bobby was in 8th grade for 10 fucking years but you can't figure out how he's 21 now?

Its great. Judge is great. Dales voice isn't perfect but oh yeah,  the actor that voiced him died. I bet lucky would sound different now, too.

The charcoal salesman being black was so good.

Can't wait for the next season. More KOTH is what we need.

I did enjoy them hitting us with All My Life and End Of The Road during Kahn-cious Uncoupling

Cartoons have stupid timelines where children rarely age up during their decade+ run.  The Simpsons kids have been the same age for basically 30 years

People who expect perfect continuity in cartoons are fucking tedious people and not worth paying attention to.

If Vic and Helobious have issues with this, then Judge must be doing something right. Just need Derka to chime in to complete the trifecta.

Holy shit the Jerry Jones episode, LOL! And “Arlen Eagles Stadium” confirms my theory that it’s Allen, right?

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not, but I'm here for it either way.
