Man, how I wish my dad could have been here to see this. Biggest Rangers fan ever. I was on the phone with him in 2011 when we needed one more strike. I’ve never heard such a crushed, disappointed rea

This game is going exactly as I anticipated after they shit it all away last night.

This game reminds me of game 7 against the cardinals. A wet fart of a game where the Rangers came out half defeated from the first pitch.

They are collapsing right in front of our face.  About to have all offseason to talk about how they couldn't get 1 game the last week.

I made this country western ballad on Chat GPT:

(Verse 1)

Well back in ‘72, in the heart of Texas blue,
The Rangers stepped on in, with promises anew.
Lovers of the game, with hearts big and bold,
Thought they’d found their forever, or so the story's told.

(Chorus)
But those who thought it’d last, have been fooled again and again,
Love with the Texas Rangers, seems it just can't win.
Astros shine brighter, Mariners sail ahead,
While lovers of the Rangers are left with tears to shed.

(Verse 2)
Whiskey in the glass, memories of the past,
Dreams of pennants flying, but they never seem to last.
Every season starts, with hopes held so high,
But by the end, it's another long sigh.

(Chorus)
‘Cause those who thought it’d work, have been fooled one more time,
With the Rangers, love's an uphill climb.
Astros got the spark, Mariners ride the wave,
But Rangers lovers, they just brace for the grave.

(Bridge)
Lonely nights in Arlington, where hopes used to dance,
Looking at the scoreboard, waiting for that chance.
But heartbreak's the anthem, playing year by year,
Another love song for the Rangers, another lonely tear.

(Verse 3)
Silver boots and cowboy hats, stars shining in the night,
Rangers' lovers still believe, holding on so tight.
But history keeps repeating, like a sad old refrain,
With every season ending, in just more pain.

(Chorus)
For those who thought they'd found the one, been fooled by the Texan sun,
Astros blast off, Mariners set the pace,
While Rangers and their lovers, can't seem to find their place.

(Outro)
So here's to the heartbroken, since nineteen seventy-two,
Hoping for a miracle, for the red, white, and blue.
May one day the Rangers, finally find their way,
Till then, it's just another sad song to play.

It's going to be 3 days of game 7.   Last night was absolutely the regular season equivalent of game 6.  Why I was so damn pissed.  We have absolutely no pitching left. Who is even starting tomorrow?? Obviously, from the starter perspective, a lot of that is just shitty luck.  But beginning with not bringing Dunning in for the 8th Weds with a lead despite only throwing like 85 pitches, leading to Chapman in the 8th setting up a back to back, then Leclerc (with a 5 fucking run lead) in the 9th, thus resulting in the shit show of decision making yesterday, Bochy fucked this team.

Young essentially traded away an impressive rookie starting pitcher in exchange for the most painful ending to a season humanly possible. Season was over the second Chapman entered last night's game.

I swear to god I've never experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows of a season like this before.

2012 was way worse. We had a World Series contending team (we definitely do not this year) and shitted it away to a bad A’s team. Core of our best team ever broke up a few weeks later.

Ragans put up 2.5 WAR in half a season in KC. If he wasn’t a rookie he was about 3 innings over the minimum last season.

So I think the path to the playoffs for Texas if they lose out is for Houston to win out and Toronto to win at least one more. Then we get the 3rd wc on a tiebreaker with sea, despite them having just beaten us 4 straight to end the season to tie at 89 wins.

so yeah, buy up those playoff tickets.

So Heaney tonight.  Who do we throw tomorrow?  I knew it was awful but saw 1 for 25 with RISP this road trip.  JFC.  Offense is going to have to break out and score 10+ one of these games to have a chance to win.

Here’s the real funny shit about tonight. If Andrew somehow magically goes 7, that changes his player option from $13M to $20M. Now, the odds of him going 7 are slightly less than Wally posting something useful, but that would be some shit if he cruised through 6 on a real low pitch count.
