Spent my early and elementary school years down the road in Mansfield in the 80s.  Spent most of the 90s on the other end of 360. Felt like it would never happen.  2011 was devastating. Crushing.  Flipped the page to year 45 on this earth last month wondering if they’d even make the playoffs.  What an unlikely, incredible run.

Man, how I wish my dad could have been here to see this. Biggest Rangers fan ever. I was on the phone with him in 2011 when we needed one more strike. I’ve never heard such a crushed, disappointed rea

F’ing Sborzy brought it home. Didn’t even need LeClerc!

I almost wish we would’ve put Jose out there for the final out, but I’m more than good.

Whole organization is class--Chris Young to Mike Maddux to Bruce Bochy.

Wish my dad had lived to see this.  I never thought it would happen.

I didn't think I'd get this emotional about it, but, damned if I'm not choked up.

Here is your reminder.  Will Smith has won three straight WS.

Let it all out man. That's what sports are about. Hope your old man is smiling down on you enjoying this one.

As a fan since 1972, I never though I would make this statement in my lifetime: The Texas Rangers are World Series Champions !!!

Some wondered what'd it'd be like if the Rangers didn't win this World Series.

Guess we'll never know.

51 years lost at sea and I’ve run aground on an island of titties.

And it is beautiful.

Nice work Rangers and congrats to all the Surly rangers fans. Long time coming and you did it without cheating like a bunch of cheating fuckheads.

Y'all ever hear this old joke?

A Texan goes to Hell.
Devil notices he's not even sweating. He asks him how he's taking it so well."
Texan: "Man, this is just like those Spring afternoons in Lockhart next to the barbecue pit!""
Devil cranks up the heat. Cauldrons are boiling over, little demons bursting into flames.
Devil: "How do you like that, bitch?"
Texan: "Awesome! It reminds me of those magical summer days on my grandpappy's ranch in McAllen!"
Devil thinks on it a minute and figures, "Ah, these Texans are used to the heat. I'll make it super cold!"
All the Cauldrons get iced over, pitchforks sticking to the little demons hands, lava turns into snowy avalanches.
Texan: "WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAA!!!
Devil is all like, "What the fuck man?"

Texan: "The TEXAS RANGERS JUST WON THE MOTHERFUCKIN' WORLD SERIES!"

Can't tell that one no more.

Seager 4th player ever to win 2 WS MVPs and 2nd ever after Reggie Jackson to win one with different teams.

Corey's dribbler started it all.

That was the gork, the ground ball with eyes that Crash Davis talked about in Bull Durham

Growing up sitting in Arlington stadium watching shit baseball but we had Nolan we had some many great fucking players over the years and never did it.

sitting here I just cannot believe it. My dad took me to hundreds of games. I wish he was alive to see this.

fucking A boys.   Also. Fuck houston

The first sporting event I ever went to was a Rangers A’s game in the mid 80s. I spent my formative years going to crappy Arlington Stadium. My junior and senior year of high school, my friends and I went out to tons of games in the outfield. Lost faith in 94 when the strike came.
Got back into it in the 00s. Had massive trauma in 2011. So sweet. It was all worth it. This game can so cruel and so beautiful.

I found the oldest ticket stub in my collection. June 24, 1982. That was an awful team. We saw so much terrible baseball and had our hearts ripped out in 2011. Never thought I’d see this in my life. But we did.

And no, the Rangers are not still shitty.

They will have the pressure of expectations on them of course, but this was ahead of schedule

I get a call my grandma dies at the moment the rangers open it up

Man, would have given anything to watch this moment with my grandad (passed 2 years ago). He watched the Rangers every chance he got for their entire existence in Arlington.

Loved Nadel’s call…”Rangers fans, you are not dreaming!”

I was really glad that I was listening when it happened.

I love Bochy.

I love Seager.

I love Garcia.

I love Sborz.

I love Semien.

I love Eovaldi.

From the Jeff Fryes to the Chad Kreuters to the Jeff Russells to the 50,000 watt voice of the great southwest.  Hello Win Column!

Been a fan since sports consciousness in mid 80s. Mad about our inability to hit against the Yankees in the mid 90s when we finally got good but not good enough. Wandered the desert for 11 seasons through Jon Hart bullshit. Then got really good. Never should have won in ‘10 but absolutely shoulda beat the Cards. ‘11 doesn’t disappear, just like ‘06 doesn’t disappear for the Mavs. However, this playoff run took me back to ‘10-‘16, like the last 6 seasons just didn’t happen.

I’ve never seen a team like this. The streakiest team ever and we got hot at the right time. And I love the management and players, and we are set up well for the next several years. So happy they are my team.

Nice to join the all 4 championships club as well.

Another person I’m so damn happy for.

My first Rangers game was somewhere in the 70s. It was old timers day. In those days they actually played an old timer's game before the actual game.

Everybody who was anybody that was still alive was in that Old Timer's game! Mickey Mantle, Willie Mayes, Harmon Killebrew, I believe Joe DiMaggio was there, too. I remember Mickey couldn't run for shit, but he could still knock the shit out of the ball. That's about all I remember about it, but fuck, man.

It's been a loooong haul. I never made it to many Rangers games, but I was always glued to the radio listening to Dick Risenhoover exclaim "GoodBYYYYE BaseBaaallll!!!"

It got me through a lot of childhood times. Never even expected a championship to happen, just as long as they kept on slugging it out.

Fuck me, they got us a World Series!

Can someone post Nadel’s call whenever it gets tweeted?

Holy shit … undefeated on the road in the post season….  dance.gif.e2949fe0dfccbb4f331706b8bda0bbce.gifvisor.gif.7f49a2c95c9f8809ad624fb762072119.gifAFan.gif.79e4237559361d3c0624ac428976b6c1.gifMickyMouse.gif.4ca8bf8cfa62708f635ff0422284b1b2.gifiloveSB.gif.bc540af48d2018d0932c09d08c312053.gifstringsattached.gif.e0d1f3e77cdf6a508ff645850587f791.gifusa.gif.dd9c8c5261dba25798860befcf66a10b.gif200w.webp.0e8a25f168ae92138a33dc9e9194f959.webpredheadboobsdancing.gif.fef98760ca2c5673bd2b94e7f8879aaf.gif

It's awesome that he was even there to call it. Nobody else deserved that honor more.

I’m wondering if he hangs them up for good after the run.

Damn, I miss those old Rangers threads we had 2010-1012 on Shaggy. The thread would have to be divided into 2 parts because the server couldn’t handle the length.

I really fell in love with the Rangers when I lived in Dallas 90-92. We had season tickets so I’d go to 40 or 50 games a year. Those were the days of Sierra, Franco, Inky, and Nolan. Then I really loved watching those late 90’s teams that could never get past the Yankees. Then they got really good in 2010 and 2011. I was just happy to get there in 2010, but 2011 was absolutely crushing. It was every bit as crushing to me as the 2009 UT and 2013 Spurs teams.

All of that just got washed away. Holy shit! The Texas Rangers just won the World Series!!
