Listening to Norm Hitzges and Merle Harmon call games on HSE when Charlie Hough was on the bump and slinging pus up to the plate seems like eons ago.

Man, how I wish my dad could have been here to see this. Biggest Rangers fan ever. I was on the phone with him in 2011 when we needed one more strike. I’ve never heard such a crushed, disappointed rea

This is for Sunny, Buddy, Toby, Pudge, Kevin, Kenny, Steve, Charlie, Juan, Young, Adrian, Nolan, etc.

Unreal season. I went to Arizona to see the team play and they looked really damn good but I had no idea they'd win the World Series this year. I'm stunned. All those years sitting in the upper deck just me and the wife watching a garbage team and now they're world champions. Wow.

Wow.  I was just about to bring up my first favorite Ranger player, Charlie Hough.  Emulating his knuckle ball for 10 years as a youth player is probably why my right elbow is f'd.

I cant say I was a Rangers fan.  although I attended my first MLB game in 1986, I was visiting my Grandparents in Hurst, and got to go to a Rangers game with my Uncle who was the biggest Dallas sports homers out there.   Dont know who the hell the Rangers played, I dont even know if they won the game,  it went into SUPER extra innings.

I think we finally left after the 11th inning (I was pissed we didnt stay till the end), next day we find out the game went to 17 or 18 innings.

I cant claim fandom, but I know my dearly departed Uncle Ray would have loved this moment.  Ray passed in May 2005, he missed the Longhorns winning, the Mavericks winning it, and now the Rangers.....  ironically he was still around the last time the Cowboys won anything.

It’s 11:45 here on the east coast and I’m finally putting my 3 1/2 year old to bed. She watched the final inning on my lap and yet will never understand why it was such a big deal to me… 40 years a fan and finally a World Series!

Don't worry about the Diamondbacks yall.  Smoltz is already in the shower waiting to take care of them.

Never thought I’d fucking see it. I was born into Ranger fandom. Mom just told me she worked as an usher at the very first game. Wish my dad had lived to see this. Lots of memories of Arlington Stadium and especially the Temple. Watching some bad (and occasionally pretty good) teams. Learning to crack open peanuts and keep score from my dad. Zonk banging that fucking drum. I still have a binder full of Julio Franco cards around here somewhere at my house in Houston. He was always my favorite player, with that insane batting stance and 1991 batting title.

Gotta admit I momentarily lost hope at the end of the regular season and after ALCS game 5. This team never even fucking thought of giving up though. Unbelievable. Go Rangers!!!!

Nice to join the all 4 championships club as well.

Yeah crazy every Dallas team has won one since the cowboys last did, fucking Jerry

Holy shit I don't believe it.

Summer of 85 and 86 I shlepped around Arlington stadium selling popcorn and coke. Games against the yankees and tigers that were away games. Games near the end of the year with 300 people in the stands.

What a long strange trip it's been.

Seven year old me got stiffed by Roger Pavlik for an autograph back in ‘94 at my first game ever. This is for seven year old me sweating my dick off holding my hat out hoping for the best.

This is for my grandfather who had season seats in the first row behind the RF bullpen before dying of a heat stroke a day before Kenny Rogers perfect game.

This is for my grandmother on my mothers side who used to pull me out of school early and take me to opening day every year.

This is for my mother who took me across I30 most evenings around the 4th inning and walked around the stadium until we found a security guard that would let us in.

I grew up in the shadow of the Ballpark and its woven into my DNA. My first love.

I had to rebuild my toilet today.
Rangers win the World Series.
Is that some kind of karma?

I just can’t believe I’m sitting here watching this.

Holtz and Nadel put me to bed most nights of my early teen years, with the Rangers losing of course.

Roger Fucking Pavlik. I think that dude was actually our opening day starter for a year or two. Shout out to Roger wherever he is.

All the old Rangers can be released from baseball hell.

Oddibe McDowell, Larry Parrish, Buddy Bell, Toby Harrah, Bump Wills, Jim Sundberg, Charlie Hough, Al Oliver, Lenny Randle, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Julio Franco, Mike Hargrove, you name ‘em.

Also, the then-mayor of Arlington, Tom Vandergriff, that made the deal to get the Senator’s franchise to Arlington.

You are showing your age. As am I by calling you out for showing your age.

Listen... I'm a Longhorn fan through and through. My dad was James Street's RA in college. But I grew up in the sticks of NE Texas. We had 2 channels. I got to see maybe 2 UT football games a year. The earliest UT game I can remember watching was the Stoney Clark OU game. By that time I had attended no less than 10 Ranger games which was a big deal for a kid who lived 2 hours from Dallas.

This was my first team. 2011 tore me in half.

5-0

Nate had bases loaded. Gallen was no hitting everyone

BUT THEY WON ANYHOW

Nate got that dub and gallen caught the L.  The onions on that guy.

Just the craziest run ever.

Looks like they won't even make the playoffs in September.  In position to win the division.  Choke.  Then they sweep the Rays and Orioles.  Go up 2-0 on the Astros and then turn around and drop 3 at home.  Win back to back in Houston.  Then they ride a Corey Seager 9th inning 2-run homer and an Adolis 11 inning home run to crushing the Snakes.

Bruce Bochy is a fucking savant.  He took this bullpen and somehow got them through the entire postseason.  Just unbelievable.

LOL, Bochy almost died.

I made it to one regular season game. Saw the Dodgers kick our fucking asses all over the field.

I hate Dodger fans.
