Man, how I wish my dad could have been here to see this. Biggest Rangers fan ever. I was on the phone with him in 2011 when we needed one more strike. I’ve never heard such a crushed, disappointed rea

27 quality starts from our current rotation, 30 if you count deGrom. It feels like we haven't had 30 in an entire season in at least a decade.

That's much better than last season's 15-35 record.  Interestingly, as well as we are playing this season, we are still struggling in one-run games, currently sitting at 4-7.  This projects to 11-20 for the season, or roughly wining 1/3 of them.  Let's just keep winning 12-2 type games so we don't have to worry about it.

Someone tell Bruce this wasn't a challenge.  Blowouts are fine.

Just want to throw this out there for a comparative to that game we had in Detroit.  This is as good as it gets behind the plate.

why????

Funny to read the start of the thread with how things are shaking out now. Crazy jump from the last few years . I thought we’d suck too

Good news is we signed up for five years of this. He won’t be back until September of next year if at all.

I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in this establishment!

Really sucks. Glad it's not my money. So maybe we see him in July 2024?

It would be more fun to light $185M in cash on fire.

hate to see this. Everyone wants to watch the best players play. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery, and comes back stronger - better

Yeah... I was just hoping for an extended cold streak for their bats like the Yankees ran into last year.

Shockingly this doesn’t feel like as bad as it should mainly because he’d only made 6 starts so far. Yes it sucks to lose your ace but we’ve kind of been without him already and on pace to win a lot more than we did last year.

Can't say I'm shocked to see the news. Wasted a shitload of funds they ain't gettin' back.

deGrom news stinks, but shouldn't really surprise anybody here.  This is still one of the top rotations in MLB.  Eovaldi and Gray are pitching like #1 aces.  Heany has the occasional frustrating start, but he shuts down the opposition more times than not.  Perez so far is the "weak link" and he's 6-1 with an ERA under 4.  We'll see if Dane keeps up his magic.
