Hang on the rim much?

Has to be at least 2 minutes for it to be a foul on Kansas

Dajuan Harris with 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals which is 6 more rebounds 5 more assists and 4 more steals than Tyrese Hunter.

Sure, but Hunter also had more turnovers.

It’s the subtle bullshit whistles like this, and the travel on Hunter early in the second half that wear me out

Yeah how was that a travel on hunter but when their pg takes 2 steps and passes it’s not a travel?  Either you get steps after possession or you don’t.

and how was that not a flop on Kansas?

The KU cheerleaders look very homely

Those are Kansas 8's.

Carr looking out for our kenpom rating tonight.

Glad this last ditch effort is disrupting their stupid ass rock chalk chant

Rice talking some shit, too.

The rematch might get a little chippy.  Fuck these guys.

I’d like to see a brawl here that doesn’t get any of our players suspended

I wouldn't mind Arterio and Tyrese sitting for a week or so.

Yuck.  Regroup on Saturday at home. We’ll get them in a month

Need to find out what makes Grady Dick cry. An aunt has gonorrhea? Sister got knocked up at 12? Lost an uncle to a shark attack?

And hammer on it whatever it is.

Oh, and beat these frauds by 20 at Moody

Tyrese was a lot better when he took himself out for cramping every other game.

Good game from Timmy. Carr was great after the early turnovers. Mitchell was pretty good. Outside of that a lot of meh. Tyrese is just a fucking enigma at this point. He looks disinterested 80% of the time on both ends of the floor.

So easy to see how this game could have been won. Really needed to take advantage of Wilson having a bad night, but we just don't play well enough for about 30 of the 40 minutes. Get 'em at our place.

Maybe he is so worried about the cramping it is affecting his play?  Going 60 percent to avoid the cramping

I'm not sure it's disinterest. I think he's in his head about fucking up on both ends, and that causes him to hesitate. Whoever signed him up to take a course from the Devin Askew School of Guard Play should be fired.

D is pretty straightforward and instinctual, though. I can buy that he's in his own head when it comes to running the offense but defense is mostly effort and focus - it's not like there's a ton of decision making.

Wasn't he like B12 DPOY last season or some shit? I think he was at least first team.

At least KU's fat cheerleader provided Timmy some cushion for his fall

I've been wondering that.  Hard to cramp up if you spend half the time on the court standing in the corner alone and not going for any loose balls.  It's not easy to pull off a zero rebound game with as many minutes as he gets.

Well we don't really have any rim protection either.  Some of his defensive woes could be related to his teammates also playing pretty poorly on defense.

Love the resiliency from the team.  We are the more talented team, too, but sloppiness from us and KU home court (along with corresponding ref advantage) makes it hard to win.

Don’t love slow starts becoming a thing like TCU football this year (exciting comebacks are great … until you don’t come back and it just snowballs), nor giving up around 90 to a Kansas team that is very bereft of high level talent and scorers compared to their usual rosters.  We still need to improve our defensive focus and embrace that we’re a grind it out team, not a team that’s built to run and gun and outscore people.

🙄there will be more Kansas players in the NBA from this team than Longhorns.

Eighty-eight points allowed … 88.  That’ll win a lot of games.

44 were lay-ups!

Also Rice outrebounded Disu, Bishop, and Allen.  That's a problem.

But did you know Disu was the SEC's leading rebounder?

We do... he just has no idea how to defend a pick and roll and keeps getting caught 15+ feet from the basket.

So effectively, yes, our rim protection sucks.

Turnovers were everything . . . and at least two offensive possessions completely stolen by blindness on opposite baselines. One off of Dick and one Rice didn’t touch after contacting the boundary.

Disu really hasn’t done much at all lately

Need to get deeper touches in the post. Anything more than a dribble is bad news.

Our bigs just aren’t athletic. Allen and disu specifically, but bishop isn’t exactly Mitchell either. Things get tough when teams can out-athlete us in the front court.

Well sucks but we got the split we needed. Let's go home and start a winning streak.

Damn. Really thought we had it there for a bit.

Also, coaches are apparently teaching them to cheat the passing lanes, but all it led to tonight was a bunch of blow bys and backdoor cuts for layups and dunks.

maybe make a change and play them straight up?

Meh we were expected to lose both games and came out 1-1 in the state of Kansas. That’s a win.

theres no need to be angry or upset with this loss. We will get them back when the come to Moody. Winning the conference is still 200% attainable.

This isn’t a bad loss.

Haven’t read the whole thread. You guys caught “Grady Duck leaks out”, didn’t you?
