In town for a few days and would like to have a really good couple of meals. Any suggestions?

After two days in Baton Rouge you'll certainly feel that the institution no longer has anything to offer you.

There's good poboys at George's under the freeway, there's an Acme oyster house there.  So, there's that.

Mansurs on the Boulevard

I’ve always liked Juban’s. The original Raising Cane’s is near campus. Yea it’s better than the chain locations. Their daiquiri shacks actually put hard liquor in their drinks. Not that wine bullshit like Texas.

That said, it’s a very, very rough town especially for a state capital. I wouldn’t venture too far from campus.

I am here now and it’s very good so far. Chargrilled oysters are great.

And yes I got off of 10 and drove around a bit bf heading to mansurs. Plaintiffs firms and poverty abound.

That's Louisiana!

Tsunami Sushi Bar on the roof of the LSU art building downtown. Great view, Sushi is pretty good, and it's the best place in town to watch Sugar Babies and their dates.

That sucks. So many great memories there before and after LSU games. At least there's still Pastime.
