Taking the family in July,

Anyone got recommendations for restaurants, non beach activities, other types of ill shit to do?

Me, wife, and a 10 yr old.

Find the closest Publix, buy a lot of beer and a styrofoam cooler.  Sit on the beach and get drunk.  The Emerald Coast in a nutshell.

We don't have a thread for this?

Grayton Seafood

Stinkys Fish Camp

Donut Hole (breakfast)

Chiringo (good alternative to Red Bar which is across the street)

Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar

Redds Pub in Blue Mountain

Go down 98 to Inlet Beach and drive back up 30A.  Pick a restaurant or bar.  Most of the restaurants are good and if the bar isn't move on.  Luke Bryan has a cigar bar on 30A and there's a cool area outside the bar if they have bands/etc planned.  Baytowne in Sandestin Resort has kid activities, bars, and restaurants. Go to the marina at Baytowne and covet all the boats.

Take a helicopter tour or parasail and see all the sharks close to shore.

red bar is a must

Always preferred Louis Louis over Red Bar. Serve the same or similar menu without all the people. Great Southern was always good if you go into Seaside and the Donut Hole is the place to go for breakfast.

Ultimately, it’s July. Everything will be packed. Hit the beach, go eat off hours, and be prepared for a shit ton of people.

if you dont mind a 30 min drive, head to Panama City Beach, rent a pontoon boat for the day and head to Shell Island.  Secluded beach, eaay walk from the Bay side over the dunes to a vacant beach.  Even if you dont operate a boat , its pretty dummy proof as the map they hand you will tell you right where to go and and the water is protected and shallow for entry to the Island.

Old Florida Fish House is pretty good in Seagrove.  Get a couple pounds of shrimp from Goat feathers one afternoon for after beach day snack.  Bud and Allys has been 100% completely re-done upstairs, great vibe but I was there on Tex-OU day, so anywhere that day would have been a blast.

We like Cafe 30-A.  Pearl Hotel bar upstairs by the pool is cool too.

We already have plans to do the boat rental.
Can’t wait for that!
