Traditional or something else (like Sonoran)? Everyone raves about T Locs, but I'm honestly not a fan of the style. I prefer traditional with chili, mustard and onions. Sandy's fits the bill for a classic (similar to what Mike's Pub use to serve). Black Sheep and Billy's versions are also very good. Surprisingly Top Notch's are not top notch. And the sit down Sonic on North Lamar is always just fine.

The chili dog at Phil’s Icehouse is decent. I like that they slice it and crisp it up. It adds some much needed texture.

the sliver medal has 2 for 1 chili dogs on thursday nights.

The place adjacent to nickel city does stuff like that well.

Delray.  Good stuff.

Rafi's Pocket:

Also, Schaller's Stube is pretty damn good, if a bit unconventional.  But the dog and bun themselves are spot-on even when they cute with it.

Damn you for making me remember how much I loved Mike's Pub chili cheese dogs.

Yeah he's probably not talking about the ghetto one on Rundberg.

That is apparently closed now.

Yeah I meant N. Burnet. Lo siento.

Speaking of hot dogs, that particular Sonic is a sit-down Sonic because it was originally a Der Wienerschnitzel.

Closed, and they finally removed the awnings to keep the homeless from camping there.

I remember one time I went there wanting a shake or something and they said they didn't have any ice cream.

At a Sonic.

T Loc's is so good, and they definitely offer a classic chili cheese dog. Chili cheese fries as well.
