First impressions:  This team looks like Kansas or Indiana or something.   Where’s the talent?

There is the talent!

Yeah then Witt had Tommy John Surgery and weird things happened to Tristan and Aaron Nixon. Hopefully this season good surprises happen.

Nixon is a total mystery.  He was so good the year prior.  I have a feeling he is going to be dominate at MSU.

They didn’t have any pitching coaching and he didn’t grow at all. He was the exact same pitcher as the year before but with less control. The book was out on him

Put it in play but couldn't get the runner home. Damn. Not a bad at bat just didn't work out.

Second chance for the Freshman.

Sheesh, two times with runners on 3rd with less than two outs and we can’t get it done with a simple sac fly. Come on Mitch.

Seeing a lot of promising stuff tonight that isn't converting into results. We have a young team - that's to be expected. You can still it's Texas baseball out there.

Why are we sending relievers back out after shaky innings?  It just leads to inherited runners and high stress for the next guy

I imagine DP just wants to see some guys battle. There’s probably a relatively strict plan for pitchers and innings this weekend.

We also have some more pieces that could find their way on the field. Plenty of time before conference play.

Yeah this what he does OOC. Puts dudes in pressure situations to see what they got then come conference play, has his roles and lineup all figured out.

We are going to need Chris Stuart this year. Only semi-known lefty we have in the pen.
Hope he finds his groove.

Quit dancing and go after guys. He will be fine if so.
