Wonder if next year they hit a few mlb stadiums. Demand for tickets is outrageous.

Ticket demand is crazy.  They are out there on the secondary market (eBay and craigslist) but pricey.  As a family, we used everyone's email to enter the lottery and drew exactly 0 tickets for Sugarland.  They play again tonight on YT.  Last night was the first time I watched a full game.  It was entertaining and it definitely moves along pretty quickly.  Link for later.

The Savannah Bananas have sold out Raymond James Stadium (home of the Buccaneers) and are playing in front of 65,000 people

You sound fun.

Savannah bananas is a good time. Went to Hilton Head for spring break and took the opportunity to take the family to a SB game at their home field. Entertaining, up close and personal, and overall tons of fun with the kiddos.

Like the Globetrotters of baseball, I guess?

More white guys, though.

That is awesome! Especially for that level of baseball.

Bananas are full of guys (22-30+) that just really didn’t make it in the “show.” But their schtick is a traveling brand of entertainment that basically reminds me of when as a child watching the Globetrotters vs the Washington Generals in their traveling circuit.

I caught some of this by accident after a Texas game went off on ESPN.

It's really pretty amusing in a slapstick kind of way.  Kinda glad they're succeeding with it.

Taking the grandkids next week.

Their mother wasn’t sure about it, and thought it was like a chippendales show. I set her straight.

Watched it for the first time the other night on espn. I enjoyed it.  I hope it catches on. Good entertainment.  The scoring is fun

The Savannah Banana Hammocks?

That. Was. Fun.

I wouldn't want that every game, every season, but it was a fun evening.

I would love to go see them……once.

At Dell Diamond once the newness wears off.

Right now they are playing stadium concerts but, just like all aging rock and roll bands, they will end up back in small clubs just like where they started.

3 million people on the waiting list for tickets...

The Texas Tailgaters are the 4th team in the banana league. They play the Party Animals at Dell Diamond 2 nights in September. Good luck getting tickets

I was the same way. Then took the kiddos last spring and had a blast.

It’s not what I want real ball to become by any means, but as a one-off night of entertainment, it was a lot of fun. I’m not sure the same aspects that make it fun really translate to tv.

It’s entertaining if you need to kill time outdoors in the summer with people who (a) think the idea of going to a baseball game is fun but actually don’t like it or (b) are 13 years old or less…

So once again, I wasn't selected in the ticket lottery. I'm done trying. I'll have better luck with the Masters.

The bananas are opening their own ticket exchange. Here’s the catch, all tickets are face value, no markups.

Not sure when it launches, but it’s soon. I’d check that.
