this little diddy is making my garage workout playlist lately. My neighbors probably don't like it as much as I do

I saw Luna in LA at the El Rey theater back in 2002 and their show was almost exactly the same as their recently released Live Album. They sounded great and their new bassist was sexy as hell. Some girl in the audience and I became concert buddies in the general admission ballroom and both of us were drooling over the chick leaning back in a thin cotton t-shirt just plucking the bass strings as her tits looked like fresh eggs in a frying pan. (The girl I was watching with had to have been flying on ecstasy and was probably 4 to 6 inches taller than I was/am (5'9"), but it was a magical show.

I also love the two guitars used in these two videos. Really want a Daphne Blue* Jazzmaster (or maybe Jaguar). Would really like the Jazzmaster's set up with a 24" scale to compare to a regular Jazzmaster.

*The lead guitarist's Jazzmaster may be Sonic Blue.

Don't judge too hard but I just discovered this album a few weeks ago. I think I went down a youtube hole with rock and just wound up googling the best Rock albums of the early 2000s (that I missed bc I was in middle school) and this popped up. Yeah I'm digging it. Never got into QOTSA but I think my newfound interest in TOOL led me here.

Think Axl was influenced by this?  Maybe just a bit.  Dan McCafferty's vocals shred on this song (and the entire album).

This guy is a friend of my daughters. He is on the piano faculty at the music school she is part of.

Based on that video, you might want to keep an eye on your daughters.

One daughter, probably too old to hang with that crew. I really fucked up that sentence. I might have been distracted.

Violent Femmes. I haven't tried to get my money back from Ticketmaster for their postponed show yet at Cota so good luck to me. But I was listening to them this morning and I'm gonna be sad not getting to see them live after all these years. Found a live show they did recently and they still sound good especially with the added strings and horns.  Looks like they are having fun. Fuck you Covid!

For my brother.

And it’s great.

I'm approaching a year out from my marriage blowing up, so suddenly and swiftly.  I'm not really sad about that.  I'm better off and happier than I've been in a long time.  But sometimes you reach back to those sad memories, maybe as a healthy bit of purge.  Anyways, I've been revisiting this one lately.  Thanks, Bruce.  (Yes, avatar checks out.)

Well when you open that bottle of wine
You open a can of worms every time
Now you don't stop, that ain't true
Never said a word, I never had to
It was my attitude
That you thought was rude
It was my attitude
Old habits are hard to break
And I don't know how much I can take
What I think is on the tip
Of my tongue so I let it slip
It was my attitude
That you thought was rude
It was my attitude
That you thought was rude
Remember sitting back in school
I held my tongue
Until it turned blue
They said I had an attitude
You just failed my test
Cause I know you be the best
So wipe me off as you conclude
A POV is what I can't use
I got an attitude
I got an attitude
Said I had an attitude
Said I had an attitude
Said I had an attitude
An attitude
Said I had an attitude

Great song but it's a dedication to listen to--a story in acts.  The Boss sings his part at 9:02.

I first heard this on the radio and thought it was some iconic country musician. Wrong.
