I recently found Giovannie and The Hired Guns, not too many rock bands come from Stephenville

I’ll bet those guns don’t come cheap.

I can think of few songs and videos that get me more hyped up than this one

when this shit comes on the car, volume is on full

Amazingly clean live version of a gorgeous song, as performed by a few gentlemen that know what they are doing.

hadn't looked at the page when I posted this, I see that @tbone_ posted another version of this not long ago. Oh well.

The National + Bon Iver, sign me up.

forgot how good this group was

A lot of fun and pretty smooth; also playing at the Kessler Saturday night in Dallas.  If I were there I'd go.

Looks rough since this 2017 video below.

I know there's some blink fans here - and I know that I've made my stance apparent in the past. I just can't help but bring it up every time I find myself relistening.

I think this is one of the best albums anyone has ever recorded. The space that this record occupies is so singular. I'm hard pressed to find anything that's especially analogous. Of course there are better albums out there - and of course many if not most listeners don't really enjoy this brand of rock but this is such a special fucking album and I'd like to think I'm not the only one that realizes that.

By the way - if you've never heard it - or you've heard blink-182 in passing or whatever - give it a shot.

Here's a tester. If you dig this you'll dig that album. If not, move along. Nothing to see here.

They are so good.

We try our best to copy these versions

I discovered them during the pandemic.  They're my easy Sunday morning music.  I love her so much.

This one's my favorite. I wish it was 20 minutes long. I've caught myself singing Good Kisser louder than I should.

Just heard this one today. It's fantastic.i like some National and some Bon Iver this is a great collab.

HEB was playing this, and it stuck in my head. Now it is stuck in yours.

Rachel Price may be the perfect human being. Drop-dead gorgeous, real woman with curves and a voice richer and smoother than demi glacé.

They’re absolutely one of my Sunday morning - or sipping a bit of whiskey while I’m cooking dinner - choices.

Goddammit….I’m prepping steaks and such for my dad’s birthday dinner, and you’ve sent me down the rabbit hole. I pulled up a Lake Street playlist on YouTube and have it on the TV. Rachel Price singing “Good Kisser” in that video may be one of the all-time sexiest performances of anything, ever.
Such great stuff.

I would buy Rachel a nice seafood dinner.

Love this artist. Haven't heard this album in awhile and came back to it after being sent down a rabbit hole.

What a track this is.

Both Los Lobos and Boz Scaggs have connections to the Dead. Los Lobos opened for them and there were some collaborations.

And Los Lobos covered some Dead songs.

I’m not sure offhand if any of the members of Los Lobos ever sat in with the Dead. I’d have to check and that list is long. But Boz did.

Never really got Jerry Lee Lewis until I really listened to this album.  Pretty amazing sounding show.

Yeah they were/are so good. I love that they love Will Johnson. He's a fantastic songwriter and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

Les Binks on drums….one of the greatest rock drummers of all time. Phenomenal paradiddle with the kicks in the last 30 seconds…I can’t think of another time I’ve heard double kicks paradiddled.

Tom is back for round 3. I much prefer Blink with Tom, Matt Skiba sounded too similar to Mark Hoppus. How long will Tom stay before he's off to chase aliens or focus on a side project? Guess we'll find out.

God damn this needed a bump.

Is this the best album that anyone's ever made?

I mean I think it's up there.

It's leaning towards #1 ever for me.

I mean it's this or sign of the times by prince.

It very well could be. Def my all time favorite.

The DSOTM cork sniffers will be along any minute to tell you it sucks. But that’s just so not even close to accurate.

Lofi hip hop has taken over my life these past few years. This album is solid from beginning to end
