Just picked up this album. It's solid.

i'm a fan.  i missed their show in Dallas a few months back because of another concert that night.  but they did release this video from their Texas stops.  lots of Austin footage.

and this was going around recently on Twitter.  i forgot what a great song this is.

Trent Reznor has only once before added vocals to one of his movie soundtracks but this one is a bit of a retro 90s EBM disco banger...

Against the Current

This band has great songs, great vocals, and the front woman has tons of charisma and stage presence.

I was wearing a CBGB shirt in the grocery store yesterday, and an older woman exclaimed, "Oh, I loved going there!"  She then asked me if I'd ever heard of the Fugs (I hadn't) and told me, "I was Tuli's girlfriend then."

So I've been listening to some Fugs.

The fugs have a greatest hits record huh? Who knew.

I remember being captivated by Caroline Polachek years ago when she was in Chairlift. Haven't really listened to any of her solo stuff but...holy shit. Her vocal talent is insane and the band is tight.

My son turned me on to Russian Circles

Was in a nostalgic mood watching YouTube videos of 80's club scenes when this song came on.

I'd totally forgotten about it, but in honor of Pride Month, ladies and gentlemen, I give you Divine

On my way here to post this!

It was the third of June, another sleepy, dusty Delta day
I was out choppin' cotton, and my brother was balin' hay
And at dinner time we stopped and walked back to the house to eat
And mama hollered out the back door, y'all, remember to wipe your feet
And then she said, I got some news this mornin' from Choctaw Ridge
Today, Billie Joe MacAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge.

Kevin Abstract is great. Texas native and the orchestrator of Brockhampton.

Another one of his solo tracks I've always loved. A lot of Moby in this one.

Such a damn good song. I think they're other stuff is kind of okay but that track is awesome.

Man, I really had a thing for her back in the day.

Occasionally, not often, but occasionally the YouTube algorithm serves me up something I fall in love with.

So epic.
