Can someone tell me what genre this song is? Am I the only one that's in pain listening to this song?

Some young'uns playing some retro rock and it's not bad

I kept waiting for this to ge good.  The guitarist and drummer need to kiick that couche out of the band.    They are actually pretty talented.

Eddie Vedder cover of an English Beat song.  Damn, it's so damned good.  And yeah, it was the intro tune on a new episode of The Bear, but had me searching for it before the song was over.

I'd say that's probably THE English Beat song.  Fucking greatness.

Pete Townshend loves that song and covers it all the time.  A cool video I stumbled across.

This hits close to home, literally.  San Dimas is 5 minutes away.

As I enjoyed Shaboozey’s new album and getting hyped for Post Malones country album I found this and now it’s stuck in my head!

Everyone knows Ode, but I think this is even more evocative.

Aerosmith officially hung it up today.

Guess gettin’ tickets to Aerosmith is no longer the priority of the summer.

I don't know why but Eric Johnson crossed my mind tonight.  Went down a YouTube rabbit hole of Eric Johnson videos.  I really hope I get the chance to catch a show before he hangs it up.

Puddles Pity Party with Primus covering Dio.  In the comments, Puddles says he didn't have time to prep so he's reading the lyrics off his phone and he kills it.

I recently bought a turntable and started to pick up cheap albums (like the 3 to 5 dollar variety). One of the albums was Midnight Madness by Night Ranger. I never considered myself a huge fan or anythng. Holy fuck, not a bad song on there.

I’m hooked on Posty and Shaboozey lately

Really enjoying this album.  I predict “Losers” is going to be the number one audio on TikTok/Reels with football season kicking off soon.

We are a few weeks out from the 20th anniversary of this, and I found myself listening to this video really hard.

Just heard this and it sounded poppier than the YouTube version:

I listened to it at normal speed, and then I listened to it at 1.25x speed.

I think that the perfect playback would be about 1.15x to 1.2x, but it just really takes it up a notch to speed it up. A little “Room Full of Asha” like, but not exactly.

Give it a listen speeded/sped up.

That should read:

BRIMFUL of Asha”

Didn't know where to put this, but I'm listening to an amazing and riveting minute of openness from Bob Dylan.

There's a fun concept called the akashic record that he's basically describing.

I like Weezer.  I especially like the Moog Cookbook version of Buddy Holly.  This one is up there.

Spoiler
[Verse 1]
I've lived alone for many years
Life is dull, everyday life is grey
I lose patience, sanity and hair
I would like to have a wife
And the hope wants to wane
Finding a partner
Who is coequal to me
No, there’s no luck in sight

[Chorus]
She doesn't have to be beautiful
She doesn't have to be smart, no
She doesn’t have to be rich
Not a model with long strides
But big tits

[Verse 2]
Like a constantly open wound
Blood drips from the soul
Only consolation are little dogs
A fine miss would be good
A fine miss would be great
I'm not demanding at all
I'm not picky at all
At the end of the story
[Chorus]
She doesn't have to be beautiful
She doesn't have to be smart, no
She doesn't have to be rich
But I would like to ask for one thing
Big tits

[Instrumental Break]

[Bridge]
I'm not demanding at all
But big boobs would be great

[Chorus]
She doesn't have to be beautiful
She doesn’t have to be smart
She only has to be rich
In adipose tissue, please, please
She won’t miss anything from me
She doesn't even have to kiss me
Doesn’t need to comfort me with grapes
She only has to have huge tits
Big tits

My buddies from Chicago were in a band called Sybris in the 00's and they recently reunited to record a new album. First link is a new track. Second link is an old one.
