Throwing candy out to the crowd

Dragging down the main

The helpless little thing with the dirty mouth

Who's always got something to say

You're sitting around at home now waiting for your brother to call

I saw him down in the alley

Having had enough of it all

Said you can do what you want to whenever you want to

You can do what you want to there's no one to stop you

All spit and spite you're up all night and down every day

A tired man with only hours to go just waiting to be taken away

Getting into the back of a car for candy from some stranger

Watching the parade with pinpoint eyes full of smoldering anger

You can do what you want to whenever you want to

You can do what you want to there's no one to stop you

Now you can do what you want to whenever you want to

Do what you want to whenever you want to

Do what you want to whenever you want to

Though it doesn't mean a thing

Big nothing

I've been obsessed with this for like a week now. Just incredible.

D B Easy by dbeasy

A month ago I was sitting around the house minding my own business,

listening to the same old songs I’ve listened to for years,

and the few new songs that get spoon fed to me by Spotify, Sirius, and the radio,

when I had a thought,

what if I made a concerted effort to find lesser known new songs,

and what if I invited my age old friends to do it with me, because after all they were stuck in the same old rut as me,

so a two week text thread ensued where a growing group of old guys, and a girl,

loaded my shared Spotify playlist with three songs each that they really liked,

that weren’t huge hits and were introduced in 2024 or more recently,

we then all listened to them and voted on our Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal favorites,

I gave out several awards for songs and contributions,

and we had a great time, and all found many new songs and groups that we love,

far beyond the marketing machines of the music industry,

so I highly recommend you try it too with your friends.

These guys are like a synth pop version of They Might Be Giants. HIOurs of stoner entertainment. Thank me later

Watched King Of New York for the umpteenth time last night, which always leads me to blast this in my head phones for a few days in a row

This dude is so fucking underrated. I feel like Gen X unfairly panned him.

Um, we always loved Billy Idol. We have eternal gratitude for this video coming out when we were teenagers.

I was just trying to get a rise. I'm not sure why he didn't carry over the same way that other artists did.

Fortunately his shit endures. He's going to get rediscovered.

YouTube music thought I might like Softcult (Canadian shoegazer band), and they are correct.

They're coming to LA in February and will go see them if I can find anyone that likes this music.

Radio station in my Uber was playing a Jerry Butler mix for his birthday, bookended by a gospel song and Sammy Davis’sssss Mr Bojangles.

I don't know anything about this or who this is even from but it's brilliant.
