Win tomorrow and we accomplish what we all deemed acceptable at the start of the week, 2-2. Then we get a very manageable 12 game stretch before conference play.

Big one tomorrow.

The pitching usage so far this weekend is probably going to end up working out nicely. Everyone will be available tomorrow except Hurley and we have two midweek games this week so Hurley could probably bounce back and start the Wednesday game after 3 days rest.

Why do “we need to take this series”?

Because we need another win? ….And to shove the horns down on the mound Friday up their asses?

Because I think most of us enjoy watching Texas play postseason baseball.

Do you get the impression from reading this forum that any of actually enjoy that regardless of the outcome?

Garret G is 0-13 in the last 3 games. 3 Ks. 5 LOB. As best I can tell, he hasn’t been on base in those games. He was productive versus IU. 2 RBIs on the season. His slash line is pretty poor.

Got to get it going.

Looks like a bullpen game for CSF. Righty Evan Yates starting, but he's only appeared in 2 games so far.

Their two best relievers threw 40 pitches (Blood) and 30 pitches (Chester) on Friday. I’m sure they will try to squeeze an inning or two out of both today.

And of course we follow that up with a walk and a hit.

We don't just have a ton of offense Pierce, I really question this crazy reckless offensive strategy. Even with a high percentage success guy like EK we just cost ourselves a run.

Two hits and walk and no runs thanks to reckless base stealing.

If it was so critical to get EK to second, why not have DC bunt there?

Should we be sac bunting with one of the few guys in the lineup who actually might halfway worry an opposing team?

Of course. If the strategy is to get lead off guys to second then you bunt whomever. That is what is going to get your guy to second.

Stealing when they are obsessively keeping your guy on first is probably not the way to do it.
