April 21, 20232 yr I never use these other like options so I hope rage isn't a neg. If it is feel free to neg me back lol Ah, I never know if it does! I have never paid any attention to rep.
April 22, 20232 yr Hey had a guy go 3/4! Then probably tore his fucking rotator cuff. Lmao Yoooo my replacement Heim just jacked a 3 run shot! OPS killin it!

April 24, 20232 yr Correa & Machado have been bad. They likely won’t continue to be bad. But I would like a really good OF for one. If for Manny, I need a 3B in return.
April 26, 20232 yr 5.2 IP 4 H 1 BB 8 K 0 R not a quality start. so fucking stupid. and the number of starters who come 1 out shy of getting a QS is equally stupid. horrible stat.
May 1, 20232 yr Damnit @castolon, meant to pick up Smith earlier, just never actually did it. At least Fairbanks didn't die.
May 1, 20232 yr Yeah I don’t know. Full crackhead on the waiver wire this week. Minter and leclerc broke my brain.
May 1, 20232 yr I dropped way back and did not understand why. Well, upon further review, I had very little starts last week. Cutting some fat and I went a bit too far on SPs.

May 3, 20232 yr We bitch about this every year, but really love not being able to sub a guy out whose game has been postponed. Dig my Ketel HR on the bench while McNeil is chilling. Edited May 3, 20232 yr by shadow_operative2.0
May 3, 20232 yr And I saw your trade offer. Had a counter tee’d up, just didn’t hit submit after waffling.
May 4, 20232 yr Sat Bryant & Gorman since they’ve been cold, both yack. Freeland 5 scoreless. Stupid game.
May 4, 20232 yr Every hitter on my team that doesn't play for the Rays is fucking useless. Every day it's just a parade of 0-for-4s and a .550 team OPS. Thank God for my two Tampa Bay _andys.
May 8, 20232 yr 7.5 points lost in a day is probably some kind of record so I’ve got that going for me, which is nice
May 8, 20232 yr I was the big gainer yesterday mainly because Goldschmidt went supernova. Don't worry, my team will get back to its customary 0-for-4s right away.
May 9, 20232 yr Alright, we have a deal. I traded you kids Trea last year, hope it doesn’t fuck me again. Edited May 9, 20232 yr by shadow_operative2.0
May 11, 20232 yr well it was might nice of gorman and manny to each give you a HR on his way out the door. we'll take more of those now please and thank you. Edited May 11, 20232 yr by shadow_operative
May 13, 20232 yr for a roto league, there are some wild swings.Usually things balance out by the all star break with our somewhat stacked rosters. Then it becomes a awful trying to make up ground.
May 16, 20232 yr Have i mentioned how i love that i can't play Ohtani as a batter when he pitches.Fucking fuck fuckGuess it is time to start skipping his starts
May 18, 20232 yr And of course Kodai spins a gem on my bench. Sat him against Tampa after getting shelled last outing.
May 18, 20232 yr Fuck, I just got the 5.2 IP near-QS. I actually prefer QS to W, but that does kind of sting.
May 21, 20232 yr What’s frustrating about the QS thing is that since we have a limit on starts, any start that isn’t a QS is a net negative for your team. Hunter Greene just had a QS but they left him in for the 7th and he gave up one more run.
May 21, 20232 yr Manoah isn’t owned currently, but he got pulled at 5.2 yesterday because his manager forgot the mound visit count. That would be a real shitty way to lose the QS.
May 21, 20232 yr How about when your starter gets knocked around by everyone on the other team EXCEPT your hitter. Goldschmidt 0 for 4 with 2 Ks against Kershaw today. Everyone else teeing off like beer league softball.
May 22, 20232 yr Probably because of the DH, but at no point earlier today did JV have the PP next to his name. Goddamnit.

There's pros and cons to both - and let's be honest, I'd probably bitch either way - but the reason I like QS is because in theory the pitcher has complete control over it. Can't say the same for W. I do think you have a point about shorter starts. MLB teams are way more cautious about workloads than they were when these stats were invented. Feels like a huge deal these days when a guy goes even 7+ innings.

Feels like a huge deal these days when a guy goes even 7+ innings. you're right, though i would say sometimes the mgr or even front office has more of a say than the pitcher, even if he's going well. some teams don't like pitchers facing the other lineup a third time in a close game even if their pitch count is under control. in most cases they would prefer the sp go 5ip, 1er than 6.2ip, 3er, 100+ pitches. unless we're talking about the verlanders of the world, of which there are few.
May 25, 20232 yr hg and i have sent some offers out there. feel free to send a counter if you're not 100% sold.
