2024 SEC Bowl Destinations

Always hilarious how the SEC games the system to ensure wins like Alabama going to play Michigan. Overall though, I'll easily watch most of these. That Music City Bowl contains two of the most vanilla ass, constantly overrated programs. We're all going to be Fight On against aggy. And how awesome would it be if Navy beat OU?

There are some games in there where I’m going to have a hard time cheering for anyone.

USC, Duke, Tulane and Navy, sure.

Bielema or the whiners from SCar? Woof.

I will hold my nose and cheer for LSU versus Baylor.

Michigan over Bama? Bleh.

Arkansas over Texas Tech? Terrible.

I don’t really care about Vanderbilt and Ga Tech, I guess.

I can easily root for Michigan over Bama because it would be hilarious to watch Bama lose to another team that was on our "soft schedule". It's probably not happening but would be amusing and would further light a fire under DeBoer's seat. Sellers will be fun to watch play some more but yeah Illnois is another one of those Big 10 teams that I was happy we weren't paired up with when there was speculation of a move to the Big 10. I'll go with LSU but it was be funny if they beat Kelly. Vandy and GT could be a fun game given how similar both teams are.

That may be the best one I’ve seen of these. The self-awareness of the absurdities of the fan bases make it work, and the “It’s the hope that kills you” set up (“Hope” has been a long running character in these for a couple of years) and payoff was great stuff.

honestly thought it was amazing, high value, clearly know the fan bases and the pulse of CFB

Plus that new chick is really hot.

That one did the trick. Sure, it's kinda toned down jabs, but not always. Finebaum "on-air" support was good, SMU blasting money was good poke.

I think overall they press just enough to keep from running off fanbases, vice going full bore. I get it, they got some "commercial" support so have to play nice.

Should have found a way to work in the Vandy Pimp though. Not that there was much material to work with, but that's always a bit of fun. Seeing him all over Vandy's field on game day brings a laugh.

The fellas on Get Up this morning talked to Pawl, and Pawl said (to which they agreed) that the Conf Champ games are headed the way of the dodo. He also thinks it's likely if Day loses early in the playoffs, he's out. (Not that tOSU is SEC, but was part of the segment so added.)

Man some SEC teams getting hit up in the x-fer portal so far..

Alabama: 10
Arkansas: 24
Auburn: 12
Florida: 12
Georgia: 4
Kentucky: 20
LSU: 13
Mississippi State: 17, 1 in
Missouri: 6
Oklahoma: 11
Ole Miss: 6
South Carolina: 10
Tennessee: 8
Texas: 5
Texas A&M: 17

Who had Kentucky & Arkansas showing A&M who's boss on their bing cards?

#1417

Was driving out in the hill country and was flipping stations. Listened to some sec oriented radio show which I later realized was Finebaum’s.

Besides hating his guts, his sec callers were the biggest hillbilly morons I’ve ever listened to in my life. And apparently some of the same callers call in all the time. These people are truly stupid. What the hell has Texas mixed itself up with.

Putting two good matchups in week 3 against aggy going to Notre Dame is funny. Georgia @ Tenn and Florida @ LSU.

Alabama @ Georgia in late September is interesting.

We open at the shoe?  That might get some media attention.

I didn't realize that you split up the Michigan game... or was that part of the network negotiation to get out of the Big 12?

Yep they moved that game up to this year to be on Fox to get the deal done early.

They just flipped the Michigan 2024 game from home to away as a bone to throw to Fox. The OSU away and home were always sandwiched between the Michigan games.

6 weeks without a bye is gonna be rough

at least the opponents are mostly weak. Swamp and Dallas back to back will be tough

@Florida should be decently tough next year. OU is going to be ass

The 11 most watched games this season were either SEC or Big Ten conference games. SEC & B1G league games also accounted for 15 of largest 20 TV audiences via @paulsen_smw https://t.co/kTMEWLAfEC

But, does attention whore aggy want the scrutiny of a Netflix docuseries?
