Did we ever hear an explanation of the ball thrown into the net last night but our guy was not awarded first?

Real curious about that motherfucker.

I think they are considering the net as a continuous barrier that’s in play for a thrown ball.  If a ball is thrown to home from center and it sails over the catcher and hits the net, it’s not out of play; the runners don’t get to automatically advance a base.  Similarly, if it bounces off the turf and the railing and hits the net and comes back, the ball is in play.  That’s my cockamamie explanation anyway.

Fuck these guys and their 35 win seasons

Rogers Hornsby, imo.

Did that bomb clear the scoreboard???    Watched the replay several times and cant see it bounce back onto field and cant tell if it fell in scoreboard and outfield fence.

Either cleared it or hit towards the top and fell down. Hard to tell.

I don't think Mercer is a good litmus test for anything - but it is baseball and whipping shitty teams isn't always a given.

Let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet.

I wonder if they have a pitcher on the staff capable of not getting absolutely shelled.

Have we ever scored this many against Mercer?

I heard good things about Grubbs in the fall. Missed the first few weeks of the season with a knee issue.

Yea that doesn’t make any sense

I’m just messing around. I was thinking this is the most runs we’d ever scored against Mercer. Because we’d never played them.

I’m aware this game proves nothing. But gives tons of guys playing time. Maybe builds some confidence in some guys.

How many opposite field knocks do we have the last two nights?  Feels like it might be a double digit.

Daly appears to have one swing plane early in counts and if the ball doesn’t intersect with that plane it is not being hit well
