My greatest fear is that this loss to Penn St. will trigger A&M into becoming the monster bball program they are capable of being. All of the elements are now in place. While we may celebrate them

Decent source of updated information (Tournament record of all active coaches with at least 10 games coached)

https://www.dbwoerner.com/basketball/coaches/coach123.html

amazing, Rick Barnes is tied with Huggins with the most losses for active coaches.  Barnes has the most games coached and a winning percentage under 50%, unless he goes on a big run this year.

Wasn’t really in question, but this proves OKST didn’t deserve a bid. The best part of our resume was sweeping ISU. Their offense is as bad as ours, worse today.

Tha fuck, isu?  4 points in 10 minutes to open the first half, then 6 points in 9 minutes to open the second half?

Their game flow chart looks like a exercise bike warmup routine.

Oof, he stepped out. Idiot. That might have sealed it for Creighton

The win at ISU is still pretty nice. Beating them at home is sort of ho-hum.

Lol that was 44 years ago grandpa (I was 12)….

yeah, I have no idea why I remember that except that Al McGuire was the commentator and he kept telling the Penn coach to put his star player back in the game in the 2nd half.   The player was in serious foul trouble.

After a second look at that list of coaching records, it appears to need a bit of updating.  Boeheim is now retired, and that list does not include Barnes' victory yesterday, so for the moment Barnes holds one distinction and about to hold another.

1. most years coaching in the tourney among active coaches.

2. Since he is tied, after Tenn. loses tomorrow he will be the leader for most losses in tournament play while maintaining a losing record in tourney play.

For some reason they don't show Tenn's win yesterday which brings Rick's record to an even .500.

Iowa State has embarrassed themselves, the league, the tournament committee, the NCAA, America, and the game of basketball…

Bob Weltlich thinks they score too much.

That's like telling a kid at least you still have the lima beans on your plate to look forward to

Hadn't been watching....looked up to close up shot of FDU coach. Thought he was a little person. Was about to have my mind blown then realized he is not a little person

Zach Edey is about to play against the shortest roster in D1.   This should be a freak show game.
Yeah Jaws from JB movies kid should have 20 rebounds

Tazing my nutsack and fisting my asshole are levels of commitment that I don’t currently have for the teams I cheer for.  YMMV.

It's time to shrink the field so shitty teams like ISU can't get in, Cyclone Larry.

Have people not watched March madness before? Purdue is going to ass fuck them in the 2nd half. The cinderellas always run out of gas

Much like the Yankees against the Astros.

this purdue result is totally understandable:

plus they went 20-15 and didn't even win their conference tourney. 😂 this would make UMBC > UVA look like a fair matchup.

Tha fuck?

I watch a fair amount of college basketball. I have a decent grasp on how the field is selected. But I have absolutely no clue how the 298th team in Kenpom makes the tourney without winning their conference OR conference tourney.
