My aunt was diagnosed with the same disease but in mid sixties. His dad was diagnosed at 46 years old. So sad. Obviously I would prefer Jordan or Scottie to win it all… He was a good dude too, it was heartbreaking seeing what it did to him.

Stands to win $200K if it happens. It will be a good gambling lesson for him when he doesn't win. Although maybe he can cash that ticket out for a few grand?

And a couple disappointing wedges on #13 and #15 followed by a really disappointing short birdie attempt on #16 for Jordan. Like yesterday, Spieth missing several opportunities to be much closer to the leaders... Edited April 7, 20232 yr by LTtxfan
April 7, 20232 yr Even if he is Johnny Manziel, an amateur being in second at the end of day two at the Masters is pretty damn impressive. Question, given he is still in college, can he keep the prize money? I guess it's enough that you'd literally just drop out if you couldn't keep it.
April 7, 20232 yr Why am I watching a fat guy and a couch waffle and a bunch of gnomes on a patio instead of golf???

HP kid learning a valuable lesson over a $100 bet!?!? (Probably learns a worse lesson if he wins, though $200K payout affords quite a few more $100 flyers!)

Not sure if you can say you're no longer an amateur at the end of the event if you "win" a ton of money or win outright. No, he can't take the money and retain collegiate status. That makes him a pro. In the days of NIL, he'll legally be able to bank lots of money after this weekend most likely whether he was able to take his prize winnings or not.

April 7, 20232 yr And seven minutes after ESPN's regular Masters program begins, they blow the horn for weather. I wonder if any more golf will get played today.
April 7, 20232 yr Props to the amateur kid from the state of Texas. see what happens when he’s paired up with the big dogs tomorrow
April 7, 20232 yr If there’s no lightning they play on? I can’t be the only person that wants to watch a bunch of professionals playing in a turd floater!

April 7, 20232 yr During 3rd Rd Saturday, do they play in pairs??? Edited April 7, 20232 yr by LTtxfan

I would love to see the interview after he shot a nice little 85 on Saturday, and then gets his ass kicked by Jeff Knox on Sunday Fucking Phil - for Easter weekend he is like Lazarus rising again
April 7, 20232 yr 2 minutes ago, LTtxfan said: During 3rd Rd Saturday, do they play in pairs??? Yes, pairs are usually how they handle the final two rounds. Perhaps they go to threesomes if there's a chance it helps them finish Sunday. Dear God, this Bennett kid sounds like the stereotypical aggy. And I think this got posted yesterday.

Yeah, i'll root for Paul Wall to keep playing well. What a story that would be. Seems to be a decent guy.

I'm sure aggy athletic department will try to claim it belongs to them.
April 7, 20232 yr Just watching random stuff on the Masters feed, guys walking back out, stretching ect - JT has a little Doug Sanders in him with those pink/salmon slacks he is wearing today
April 7, 20232 yr Because you seem incapable of understanding how the Masters website or app works. I’m talking about the tv in an airport bar. I can get the various feeds on my phone. Just looked at radar. This may be it for today?
April 7, 20232 yr 2nd weather delay... doesn't look like Rd 2 will be able to finish today. High winds, rain, and possibly lighting. A tree on the property just fell near patrons. I doubt players return for any additional play today.

The only places to see live action is in the app, at Masters.com or on ESPN+. Who's old enough to remember when CBS was only allowed to televise the back 9 on Saturday and Sunday? That was it or tv coverage.

He would have had to turn pro before the event. Also he only qualified because he won the us amateur, which gives him entry to the masters, us open, and open championship for this year as long as he stays an amateur. Basically if he turned pro before the tournament, he would be watching it at home with the rest of us instead of playing. He will probably get some sweet nil money from base pro shops or the Dixie chicken after this though.

Hideki’s green jacket was apparently worth 200M or something like that- this would probably be the second most valuable green jacket ever.

Hell Greg might throw 50M at him Sunday.
