April 3, 20232 yr I’ve never been on Rainey street. Some people are saying this wasn’t a problem before because the south end of the street by the water never really had bars on it until recently. Still, this many people all wandering drunk or drugged into there seems unlikely. At least some of them probably, but not all.

Lol… I was thinking about the rumors that men were drugged. Most of the bodies were found days later and horribly decomposed and exposed to all the shit in that lake. This last one though from Friday night I’d look for an injection point. Social media wondering why it appears like there was no trauma or evidence of defensive wounds or fighting back. The only thing I can think of is a paralytic. Something that would almost immediately paralyze you. Succinylcholine is a depolarizing muscle relaxant that has been used for rapid sequence induction and for procedures requiring only a brief duration of muscle relaxation since the late 1950s. The drug, however, has serious side effects and a significant number of contraindications. This drug will not show up in a toxicology Screen or tests because it degrades rapidly. And unless you know what you are looking for (think an immediate discovery of a person) and you test specifically for that you aren’t going To find anything. There were a couple of Forensic Files on that. Nevada State Controller Kathy Augustine was murdered by her husband who was a nurse with the drug back in 2008. But I think you’d have to work at a medical facility or something similar to get access to something like that now. Just a thought. Anectine (succinylcholine) needs to be done via IV for it to be fast acting (within 1 minute or so for adults). It can also be done IM (intra muscular) but the onset of action takes longer and you'd have to give up to 3-4 mg per Kg (up to 150 mg) of the patient's (victim's) weight and it would still take 2-3 minutes, maybe longer for it to take effect. Not trying to be a smartass but...."Dude, How much you weigh? In kilograms please..." Doubt there wouldn't be signs of struggle after also being poked with a needle. Unless of course they are all consenting to sharing needles for a drug fix. It's not a scheduled controlled medicine, but it's also not available OTC at HEB. Gonna have to be a Dexter, medical field, or similar if someone is/are using suxx on the unsuspecting.

If I had to put money on anybody in this thread being the Servant Girl Annihilator it'd be armybrat the Town Lake Drowner (Dunker?), my money is on Nicole. She could lure these men away to their deaths, she is fascinated by it, and I think she's watched enough crime dramas to cover a lot of the potential pitfalls. Plus female serial killers seem better at covering up their crimes, and their patterns seem to vary more (at least according to the 5 minute YouTube video I watched a few years ago). And female serial killers don't spray their DNA all over the place. I read an article a while back that said it's possible more potential serial killers are being caught earlier in their would-be serial killing spree thanks to DNA, so going forward, we may not see as many "splashy" serial killers just because their spree is cut short. But my money is also on Nicole solving it if she's not the killer. Edited April 3, 20232 yr by atomheartbevo

April 3, 20232 yr I thought @Armybratwas the servant girl annihilator. In all fairness though ever since TxTow I rule no one out. But my being in Atlanta on a lot of key dates cancels me out? Lol. I am fascinated by true crime though. I’ve probably watched all the shows by this point. Tonite is a pretty big night in Austin with the CMT awards at Moody. big crowds and lots of people will be out and about. When I did go downtown to drink (sober since April 24, 2022) I mainly stuck to the really cool rooftop bars or swanky hotel ones…but I don’t go downtown much anymore. at any rate, if there is a Rainey Street Ripper or whatever this person likely wants recognition for his/her/their work. They don’t want to get caught but they do want credit for what they are doing. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if another man went missing in the next few days or weeks in the similar pattern. If there is a serial killer then they likely are ticked off that there has been no connection made authorities (that they have made public) just small news stories and social media sites speculating. Unless it’s a group of people drugging and robbing people… If it’s a lone person…they would want media recognition and recognition from authorities. I do follow a lot of profilers and this is what they say at any rate.

Other than the drowning victim from 3/31/23 who was found the next day the bodies were not found for several days after they were reported missing. Here is a flier from the February 2023 victim. I believe the body was found on Valentine’s Day last month. There are theories about this crime having a sexual component. I don’t know if there was an ability to get much off these other victims but they damn sure can get stuff off the one that went missing Friday night. He was found so quickly. Which I think is the only time of the 7 ones (the ones that fit the specific pattern even though there are about 2 or 3 more that could be connected) was found that fast. Flier from the guy who went missing in February 2023 (all of the men have dark hair and are between 20-40 years of age I think): Edited April 3, 20232 yr by Nicole44
April 3, 20232 yr If that guy was last seen walking towards the lake he probably really did just fall or jump in. Don’t think a killer is behind all of these deaths.
April 3, 20232 yr Here are pictures of some of the other men (2018) believed to be connected (pattern of going out on Rainey Street with friends and winding up in lake.)

April 3, 20232 yr Again some of these may or may not be related but what I have compiled so far: 1. June 5, 2015, Julio Santos, age 22 (found five days later in lake) was out with friends and was a UNT grad and originally from Kyle. He was last seen at a food truck on 6th and Red Street but found in the lake and no one knows how he got that far. Possibly unrelated. 2. Christian Pugh, age 21, found alive but with incapacitating and life altering injuries. Was missing from 1:37 am on 11/19/19 and found 60 hours later in the south side of the lake a 5 minute drive. He was seen last on Rainey Street at the Container Bar. They can’t obviously ask him what happened. Bc he was too badly injured. 3. Martin Gutierrez: 11/19/2018, age 25, went missing after a night out at Rainey Street with friends. His body was found in the lake on 11/26/2018. Autopsy said death by accidental drowning but had blunt force trauma to his head and severe bruising. He was a recent Texas Tech graduate from Big Spring Texas and recently had moved to Austin. Toxicology found alcohol but no prescription drugs. He had gone to the Lustre Pearl and purchased one drink according to those with him and his bank records and then went with the group to the Alibi. The bartenders at the Alibi refused to serve him bc he was acting intoxicated and very strange. He parted with the group at 1:15 am to find a ride home. Last seen on a camera at Holly Street near Rainey Street. Also according to family and friends Martin was a very strong/good swimmer. we know about the last two from 2023. It’s harder to find information on some of the men but some of these could be connected and some may not be. There are more obviously but I am struggling to find more information. April 3, 20232 yr An acquaintance of mine at UT was mugged by a group of dudes on the Congress St. bridge (circa 1989) and tossed over the side. He was kind of a badass and a very skilled swimmer, so he survived. I kind of think at least some of these deaths came about under similar circumstances.
