Would be cool if Beshear could win a Kentucky Senate seat after his term is up.

I'm still hoping Paul's neighbor will run.

Looking at the numbers, pretty evident KY Republicans had a turnout/enthusiasm problem today. #KYGOV

Republicans say they are relieved that the initiative is on the ballot now -- and not in November 2024 -- since it could energize voters more likely to vote for Brown, whose seat is central to majority."They just took their best issue off the table," one Republican said

The ""Story" is the people like Beshear and Cameron is an unctuous prick, and comes off exactly that way

Wow. Democratic Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear just won re-election, beating his Trump-endorsed opponent in a state that voted for Trump by 26% in 2020.This is a MASSIVE embarrassment for Donald Trump.

It's hard to see how Dems lose the VA Senate tonight unless Republicans pull an upset in either of these double-digit Biden seats:#SD16 Dunnavant (R) vs. VanValkenburg (D)#SD31 Segura (R) vs. Perry (D)The VA House looks like a closer call, but still a slight Dem edge.

It's like while Americans are upset that milk is $4, they're even more upset that their 12 year old daughters would be forced to carry her uncle's baby to term.

Hmmmm......

Abortion and weed going to be legal in Ohio.  Very smart timing by the weed lobby to piggyback on the abortion vote.  Hopefully the legislature doesn't follow through on its threat to amend or repeal the weed law.  Not an option for the abortion law which is a constitutional amendment.

Yeah, they'll completely forget about 10 year olds being forced to have babies by this time next year.

Need recreational marijuana to win by 10+ points to scare the GOP into not messing with it.

I mean this seems like a pretty simple answer anyway, right? There's no way that Democrats can come up with some other abortion law variation to put on the ballot? Or access to birthing services or women's health in some other facet?

Good chance of that.

As expected, Gabe Amo (D) wins the #RI01 special election in a safe Dem district. Brings Dems up to full strength in the House, 213 seats.

Will have to see the margin to see if he overperforms Biden / 2022

So CNN's poll, that they have been touting as an end all be, surveyed 1154, by phone or online (big caveat), then with a live interview, you guessed it by phone.  It's such crap they are even disclosing any other methodology beyond that.   100% bullshit, and they know it, hence non disclosure.  Chasing ratings.

I have not followed many of the elections going on tonight, but Daniel Cameron, and I don’t say this lightly, is an absolutely horrific human being who should never be allowed to run for any public office ever again. I hope the rest of his life is spent cleaning bathrooms overnight at a Waffle House while living in a shanty next to a garbage dumpster.

You vote in 2-3 consecutive elections and you largely become a permanent voter.  Trump kicked off in 2016 and the youngs were horrified their parents and neighbors and everyone they should have trusted are all so damn stupid got them involved early.

The greatest political mind ever, James Enelow, told me that.

Yeah the GOP really paid the price for 4 years of trump. People are engaged for every single election now. The election of 2014 where the GOP won all the seats because nobody showed up probably won’t happen again.

Is that the poll that has African American males preferring Trump 49/43 over Biden?  Heard Burnett touting it.

I just had to turn off the news since I couldn’t find a channel not running an anti-Biden segment while Democrats are winning elections. I don’t know why I even bother anymore.

Both Ohio Intiatives are doing well with no votes from Dayton yet and a big majority of Cleveland / Toledo / Cincinnati still to come in.

Marijuana reform needs some momentum. Get it done Ohio.

Just got home from another long day. The closing results at my location, a Republican precinct, were:

Issue 1 (Abortion Rights)
Yes: 451
No: 230

Issue 2 (Recreational Cannabis)
Yes: 424
No: 251

We had a total of 700 votes cast in person; 685 machine votes and 15 provisional paper ballots. That’s 50% of the voters.

Yeah, its fucking insane, they are lying and they know it.  It's a parrot follow up poll to the NY Times poll, which at least was willing to short of show its work (which was flagrantly flawed in its own right).

If you are teaching a math class in fourth grade and someone just gives you an answer on a word problem, with no work being shown, I think you'd be suspicious.  That's exactly what they have done here.   As I said, at least the Times was willing to show you, though you had to dig thru it to find it, that their methodology was utter crap.  CNN isn't even bothering doing this.

Meanwhile, in the real world, none of what is happening thus far tonight reflects the "dour" Democratic national mood.

Honest polling is dead.  Bullshit ratings chasing is pretty much what we get.  I suppose I will take this if it keeps scaring Democratic voters into showing up to vote.
