Nakatani Plaza is holding his own. Longest fight of Teofimo's career. I'm hoping this doesn't go the distance.

damn, the dude from the undercard is going into surgery for severe swelling in the brain. that is not good.

good fight. i think Lopez proved tonight that he can go 12 rounds. he was dominant in round 12 and didn't look gassed at all. good fight though, Nakatani was a game opponent.

man, teofimo won the fight, but i don't think it was that wide of a margin.

yeah i was surprised by those scores. i thought andre's card was a lot closer to reality.

damn this russian dude got the shit beat out of him. hard to watch. shit.

That was fucking brutal.  All the signs of a severe head injury with the vomiting etc. Hope he’s ok. Was at a bar so missed parts but saw enough to know at the least he’s severely concussed.  Damn.

Dadashev remains in the critical care unit following a two-hour surgery to relieve a subdural hematoma, or bleeding of the brain.

"Right now, he's in critical condition, but the doctor told me that he's stable," Dadashev's strength and conditioning coach Donatas Janusevicius, who visited with the fighter on Saturday afternoon, told ESPN. "We know that the bleeding has stopped. Also, the swelling has stopped. So some positive news, and we hope and pray for the best."

Early Saturday morning, neurosurgeon Mary IH Cobb told Dadashev's manager, Egis Klimas, and Janusevicius that the boxer had suffered a brain bleed on his right side, that his head was shaved and his scalp opened up, and that he was showing signs of severe brain damage. He had been given medication to decrease swelling.

"He will swell over the next few days," Cobb said. "I don't know how much brain damage he has."

Cobb added that some who sustain subdural hematomas can make a relatively strong recovery.

"I wouldn't give up on him," she said.

finally time for pacquiao/thurman.  loved pacquiao back in his day, but i'm picking thurman by late KO

  • Author

hmmm, through 2:30 of the 5th round, i thought thurman was finally about to get a round.  but after the last 30 seconds, i don't know...

WTF. Thurman fought well but how the fuck do you score that for him?  One of the judges smoking crack.

Judges should have to go before the commission in a session open to the public and media cameras and give round by round explanations for any card that is so insanely wrongly scored. That was Gayle Van Hoy in Texas level bad scoring. Looks like corruption but could just be senility. Either way combat sports need a major cleaning up in their organization and judging.

All officials in any sport with that much money on the line, boxing, NFL, CFB, NBA, NCAAM etc should have to face the media

I just now was able to watch Shakur Stevenson dispatch of Guevara with much ease. He needs a title fight now.

Canelo by KO in 5 or less with a left hook to the body...Kovalev looked like an old man against Yarde.  Oscar has this shit down ...catching big names on the decline when they’ve lost their fastball

Damn Fury is just wearing out a bunch of undefeated guys? Nice.

Lmao first Apollo Creed now he's a Luchador! Nice

If Fury is allowed to continue much longer he’s gonna win by KO
