I watched on some other random stream. a number in that range wouldnt surprise me. We're a country full of morons. Now if you will excuse me, I'm off to binge the last season of "Ow, My Balls!"

Neither one attempted to even try to hurt the other. Tyson punches in training were way faster than anything he threw tonight.
November 16, 20241 yr What makes this interesting to me is that even though it as a shit show on Netflix, it shows that people will actually log on to live sports, even on netflix..
November 16, 20241 yr It is going to be a shame that so many people tuned in only for the bad last fight, and missed the good fights on the undercard.
November 16, 20241 yr I’m not sure how anyone thought they were going to see a great fight out of a 60 year old. Jake should feel embarrassed that he boxed an old man.

November 16, 20241 yr Paul ran away the whole time. Tyson didn’t have the legs to chase him. Paul sucks.

November 16, 20241 yr Tyson couldn’t move, undercards were badass though. Netflix worked great on the flight crazy that at home it sucked

Jake claims Canelo will come calling him for a pay day. Not sure if that’s just a terrible promo or if Jake really believes his bullshit, but he’s not going to like now that negotiation turns out. The heavyweight division has always been the worst division in boxing and it’s never been worse than it is today. Middles and lighter have always been the way to watch boxing and are still pretty good. UFC bores me most of the time. 8 hours ago, Horn80 said: Muhammad Ali is the GOAT not Tyson. Sugar Ray Robinson is the GOAT. Ali was probably the best Heavyweight, although he is getter there on style points because he was banned from the sport for a large part of his physical prime. Tyson isn’t part of the GOAT conversation. He’s not even top 10 all-time heavyweight. You’re welcome

November 16, 20241 yr The undercard fights were quite good. Paul/Tyson was not a good fight. In the early rounds, Paul evaded, so as to not get knocked out. In the later rounds, Paul did not seem to want to put him away. 8 rounds is good for the sponsors, etc. Roy Jones started referring to Tyson's legs in the late 2nd round. I noticed his inability (or unwillingness) to move in the 3rd or so. Tyson had a clear limp later in the match. He was injured from before the match. As has been noted, Tyson threw harder punches during his training/sparring. The stream delivery problems were extremely frustrating, as it made it difficult for non-boxing-watching folks to see a good fight, which each of the undercards were. The Taylor-Serrano fight was quality and very entertaining. A couple of additional comments: Ranallo, Perez, and Jones did not really seem to prepare for the fights, aside from watching highlights or reading a couple of twitter feeds. Ranallo was questioning whether Taylor continued to intentionally head-butt Serrano. More than once, Jones said, "She leads with her head and is left-handed, so this kind of thing happens when a left-hander fights a right-hander." Is she intentionally doing it? Not sure, but leading with her head is a tactic and her style. Then, Jones kept referring to Tyson adjusting his mouthpiece, to which Ranallo noted, "he's biting his glove. He's always done that." 2 hours in a room together preparing and they'd have been better. I've heard interviews with Paul early in his career, and he comes across as a fairly humble - yet confident - person. These days, he's a caricature of a human and comes across as a real douche. That said, he has found his money machine. Last, aside from the money, this was a no-win situation for Paul. Win by KO early and he beat the shit out of an old man. Win in 8 and he wore an old man down. Lose and he lost to an old man.

November 16, 20241 yr Did Tyson ever throw a combo or follow up a solid connection? I know he tired out quickly but he either couldn’t or wouldn’t keep closing and rarely went to the body. The reach advantage hurt him. He used to handle that with lots of ducking and body blows but maybe that expends more energy than he has Or maybe they weren’t really trying

Also, Paul was running away as fast as he could. Mike was still fast (hands) and hard to hit at 58. Paul is a joke of a boxer (as far as professional/ semiprofessional) boxing goes.

Unless he only has 45 secs worth of that type of activity in him. In the clips he was moving laterally, ducking and slipping punches and throwing violent counterpunches. Paul was not particularly quick and left himself wide open to counters every time he did anything but jab while waiting to retreat
November 16, 20241 yr I want the time back they just stole from me BooooooooooooooooringCome on man, this was as predictable as all hell. I know howI feel in the AM and Tyson has a decade on me.
