I should be back home from WVU in time for that. What is the Pitt equivalent to Eat Shit Pitt? Do you stoop to such vulgarities? I don’t have a dog in the fight but the backyard brawl is epic.

It's Morganhole, rather than Morgantown We call them Hoopies, which stems from the guys who made the hoops for barrels, I think over in Wheeling. Brokeback MountainQueers. Go Home MountainQueers (with the same cadence they use for their Let's Go......cheer). Morganhole Community College. Nobody really says anything about them if we are not playing them. Things like that but, our most intense hatred is still for PSU, not WVU. I'd say it's possible that half of their student body comes from Pennsylvania. I have friends who played for WVU and they are decent guys. It's not a fun place for us to go because nobody really enjoys getting verbally assaulted, and worse, while walking through the parking lots. They really, really, really hate Pitt and think about it every single day, no matter who it is they are playing. Which is fine. I don't care for them but, I don't spend a lot of energy thinking about them. I just want them to lose every game they play. Edited September 12Sep 12 by PittsburghTiger
September 14Sep 14 So who ya'll got for the main attraction tonight? Don't see how Bud could KO Canelo and they're fighting in Vegas which means beating Canelo on the cards is gonna be a herculean task. I won't be getting much sleep because Inoue is fighting on Japan time early tomorrow, too. That one should be a banger. MJ is legit.

September 14Sep 14 Walsh Vargas does not look like they're in the same weight class. I feel for Vargas... You don't have to be your old man. Be you.
September 14Sep 14 Just turned it on. Glad I didn’t miss it. Should be a bit cathartic after sitting through the Pitt debacle at WVU

September 14Sep 14 I think Bud leads on points after the first few rounds. Then the size disparity starts to matter.
September 14Sep 14 Just now, APMP said: I think Bud leads on points after the first few rounds. Then the size disparity starts to matter. If Bud leads early, Canelo is in trouble, because he'll have to chase Bud.. Canelo is not a mover and Bud is going to have the reach. I think Canelo has to test Bud to the body immediately...which means test himself and be willing to walk through Bud's hands to get to him.
September 14Sep 14 Is Bud strong enough to hurt Canelo? If that's not a fear for Canelo then it might become an issue quickly
September 14Sep 14 Having said that... I don't know how Bud's heart works... The additional weight could be trouble... Or he could be fine. They know, though.
September 14Sep 14 Is that the dude from Saved by the Bell doing the desk work with Marky Mark?Chill out preppy

He knows his shit. Does a podcast with another super knowledgeable boxing nerd/sportswriter, Steve Kim, called the 3 Knockdown Rule. You should check it out.
September 14Sep 14 I expect Canelo to be hit more than he has been hit in many years... And win a split. Edited September 14Sep 14 by Slacks Alcohol
September 14Sep 14 Canelo just bigger and younger. I do think Bud is the better pound for pound. Yeah I think Bud's definitely the more technically gifted boxer for me. -370 to go the distance, so we know what the oddsmakers think on KO possibility.

He looks a lot different, sort of had a bunch of work done. I just turned it on during round 10 of the Walsh fight so I didn’t see anything prior.

September 14Sep 14 Almost midnight in Texas and fight hasn’t started. Ridiculous. At least Netflix stream hasn’t shit the bed like at Tyson/Paul “fight” but my guess is we only have a fraction of viewers.

September 14Sep 14 After seven days of intros and songs we're actually going to start the fight! Hooray!
