Jacobs has only taken round 3 so far. He needs to open up some and throw more. Use his size a bit and make Canelo he more active. If he lets Canelo just duck and counter then he’s going to lose.

Canelo takes round 7 even though it was better from Jacobs than the last few

round 7 to jacobs.

canelo is better, but jacobs is making it way more competitive than i'd have thought.

Jacobs hasn’t looked bothered by the power of Canelo. He needs to be willing to scrap like that round. At this point if you get hit and get knocked out then ok. Don’t lose without really fighting though.

He took that round imo

96-95 for me. Jacobs has clawed his way back by being aggressive. Keep attacking him and you gotta chance.

Round 11 Canelo

Canelo looks like he’s clearly the better fighter in every way but Jacobs has done enough to make these rounds close and debatable. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Canelo squeak this out but it’s not that far apart.

watched espn's card from last night this morning and those were 3 fun fights.  i'd recommend checking it out if you're a boxing fan.

That sucks. I liked him on HBO, glad he outlived HBO’s boxing run.

Sorry to see HBO give up on boxing. It’s created a void on my weekends since December. I miss Friday Night Fights on ESPN too.

I had a lot of fun watching Williams vs. Hurd on FOX Saturday. Hurd was starting to gain steam as a dangerous man at 154, and I thought he was better than the much more hyped Charlos (which he still might be), but Williams just took it to him, and beat him at his own game on the inside. Great fight.

The two fights on ESPN were not nearly as good as two bigger/longer guys beat down their smaller counterparts. Berchelt looked much too fast for Vargas, and Navarrete looked much too long and busy for Dogboe.

Good for Wilder for seeing it, but a terrible mistake by Breazeale. My daughters could put him down dropping his lett hand like that. Garbage boxing.

Yea I’m dumb and thought Wilder was next week and Usyk was this week so I missed it live. That was vicious.

Holy shit.

If the pre-fight interview where he was talking about how you’re legally allowed to kill a man in that ring wasn’t scary enough...

Fuck I didn’t see that at all. Damn. Was looking forward to seeing him at heavyweight

I don't think I have ever seen one-punch that was that devastating. That was amazing, and scary, and amazing.

Mike Tyson to the white courtesy phone.

Oh, I saw all of Mike Tyson's fights. But name me another that looked like that, in a heavyweight championship fight.

Off the top of my head I'd say the Marvis Frazier, Henry Tillman and Michael Spinks fights could fall into that category. But I still think the crispness of that Wilder shot trumps those by Tyson.

Let me go watch Tyson’s greatest hits (I haven’t done that in quite a while, and it is very enjoyable) and I’ll get back to you.

I'm not trying to say Tyson was not vicious or not a great puncher. But that one punch there by Wilder was amazing.

I just did.  Jesus Christ.  That's a must watch once or twice a year.  It's like a bomb goes off on several of his KO's.

I haven’t yet.  Tyson had one quality that no boxer since has possessed:  if he was fighting, it was must watch tv for the casual sports fan who really could not give a fuck about boxing otherwise. I say this as someone whose former pro boxer grandfather made him fight in Golden Gloves as a teenager, but boxing lost me about 10 years ago.  I checked in on this thread randomly to see the comments about this fight.  I’ll be watching Mr. Wilder going forward.
