Eventually our dipshit manager and pitchers are going to realize it’s better to win 5-2 with Diaz catching and hitting than lose 2-1 with Maldy intangibles. Or they won’t.

I dread the daily lineup reveal.

I have dreaded watching Maldonado and whoever has played first base for us the last two years swing the bat.

Has to be the worst francise to he a fan of. What's worse? Pirates? Rockies?

Rangers also are up there. Or down there, as it were. We'll see if that changes materially beyond September.

There are only TWO active players from the 2004 MLB draft class that are CURRENTLY on an MLB Roster.

Justin Verlander (Rd 1, Pick 2)

Martín Maldonado (Rd 27, Pick 803)

They throw to each other for the Astros tonight.

Catching or not, Diaz needs to be in the batting lineup every game. DH or otherwise. Fucking Dusty

Lefty on the mound.

it’s gotten to the point where our best chances in the playoffs may be to match up with whoever has the least amount of LHP starting pitching since it’s clear Diaz will never get a chance to overcome small sample size bias

I wish that number was 1 instead of 2.

i know we're up 5-0, but dubon has to have better situational awareness with 2 outs.  getting to 3rd is not important.  you gotta clear maldonado.

it's the little things.

Something something last out at 3rd.  And we would have cleared the pitcher's spot.

Oh well, good inning.

I was telling someone earlier today when talking about prospective lineups that if Tucker and Abreu are going to bat back to back having Chas be next would be the move. He hits lefties so well that if the other team wants to bring in a lefty against them that he would at least be the third batter. See exhibit 1.
