speaking, the post game radio show (and this thread) sucks when the Astros win. Especially when they win big

I mean i think we can all see Albury's excuse, but bear claw doesn't look blind, or drunk, or asleep57883f8e590ccd02d412c6416ed7154f.jpg

I hope when Cora gave him the game ball for saving the bullpen for the rest of the series barraclough fired it right back at his face….

Of course, he would have missed and nailed someone else, but I hope he still did it

i would assume he'd have to give him the ball in pawtucket or worcester or wherever they sent him back to directly after the game.

clown.  let's dash their slim playoff hopes tonight and tomorrow.

I have pretty much never felt bad for an opposing pitcher until last night.  That shit was wrong.  The dude hit Bregman twice and the Astros didn't even get mad.

I have one million better things to do than call him and chit chat

So is Julks even going to leave Boston, or...?

Let him hang a couple days in Houston.  Also one of the two spots is for sure going to a pitcher. Who’s to say Salazar isn’t more valuable as a third catcher than Julks as the 6th OF

Not holding my breath on that one

yeah, would be a bummer for mike to tweak something and ruin this crazy run he's on.

If Uncle Mike is serviceable, our A1 lineup (where Chas comes in for Dubon) is good enough to beat anyone. The lineup ORDER, of course will never be perfect for everyone here...

if maldonado is not in it i could give two fucks about the order.

Yeah, that's a pretty salty lineup. Swap Chas for Dubon though, he should be the full time CF. I wonder if other execs around the league look at this situation and think they could trade for Chas on the cheap this offseason, since the club doesn't seem to have faith in him.

I'm surprised they have Brantley in Left instead of Yordan. I figured Mike would come back and DH a few games before getting out in the field. I'll be interested to see how he does, hopefully he's the missing piece this team needed to get over the top!

BREAKING: The Los Angeles Angels have placed starter Lucas Giolito, relievers Matt Moore and Reynaldo López, and outfielders Hunter Renfroe and Randal Grichuk on waivers, sources tell ESPN. Huge potential playoff implications: All can be claimed by teams for free on Thursday.

#22284

Chas has 3.6 fWAR in 90 games. So basically he’s having a 5-6 win season. For reference, Kyle Tucker has never had a 5 fWAR season. But sure, let’s rest him when we’re in the thick of a playoff race. We’ve had no urgency all season long, why start now?

Good job Angels.  So we have the last shot at everyone right?

With the Angels releasing Lucas Giolito, Matt Moore, Reynaldo López, Hunter Renfroe and Randal Grichuk to waivers, teams with the worst records take priority. Here is how the records look today, Astros would have priority over TEX, MIL, SEA, TBR, LAD, BAL, and ATL

I like that.  Go spend some money Crane.  I'd take a shot at Giolito, he's better than Javier right now if nothing else.

All the Dusty haters just didn't realize the plan was to have waiver priority over the Rangers and Mariners when this happened. Y'all some checkers playing motherfuckers.

Matt Moore is a LHRP with 2.70 ERA.
Giolito obviously has been talked about. Grichuk local guy that was mentioned earlier as possible trade subject.
I have no idea what go into teams thoughts on making a claim but on straight place in the pecking order I’d be surprised if they to the bottom of the order except they are free agents at the end of the year and the roster implications to make room for them. We have plenty of dead weight to cut loose on our 40 man for sure. Guys we are going to cut in a couple months anyway.
