Okay I might start to believe Abreu isn't dead yet if he's going to turn on inside fastballs like that.

6th HR in the last 24 days.

Every major leaguer should be able to turn on a 93.5 mph fastball on the inner half halfway up in the zone, but damn good to see him send it 450+ at 111 off the bat

Nice things.

Can we have them?

His 7-14-28 day splits are very encouraging.

They've got to figure out what's happened to his velocity.

Wonder if He is experiencing a dead arm since He has not really been a full time starter that long.

Yes they should but he spent over two months not doing it. Hence the first glimmer of hope that the improvement is real.

Not trying to be a dick but do you not listen with sound on? Because Kalas and Blum have beat that into the ground for awhile now. They comment on it daily
Lol nope, sound off usually and been traveling

Javier isn't fooling anyone.

Except Dusty.

Dusty is a fucking idiot.  Fixing to be 10-8.

I think the Framber issue forced the hand here. I think they were looking for a reason to push Javier back but not having Framber and Javier this weekend would have been too much

Quit trying to qualify him for a win, Dusty.  The most important piece of that stat is that you actually have to win the game.

Dusty trying be everybody friends. Wonder what kind of loose lips he will have during All Star day

I heard a story when Baker was in Chicago, he pissed off plenty of vets. One would take a crap every day where he would sit in the dugout.

I absolutely love the idea of bringing in Maton after Javier because they throw similar pitches with the same speed.

Dusty baker and Martin maldonado are first rate morons.
soarky said maldonado had his mask on and that means keep him in.
how can Dusty be around the game for 75 years and trot him out there for the 5th.

This is some first class dumbfuckery by Dusty. I’ll be happy when we move on from him.

We’re going to blow this game.

If we do, it will be the worst loss of the season, bar none.

I have a quick conference and all hell breaks loose

Dusty Baker has allowed Maldy to mismanage the game.

Javier and Framber being ace-like is a non-negotiable component of playoff success for this team. If we are not confident that we can get both of them fixed by playoffs, then we better not trade away a single valuable prospect.
