Before Jose Altuve's home run tonight, the last go-ahead home run in the ninth inning of an LCS game by a trailing team was hit by Albert Pujols off Brad Lidge at Minute Maid Park in 2005.

Dude that's catching 101.  It was intentional which is expected. Garcia knew it was coming. You don't get to show up a future HOF pitcher and get away with it. Any catcher and manager that didn't go head hunting in that spot, loses the respect of everyone in the clubhouse.

Yeah, it was intentional with just enough plausible deniability because of the situation.

Let’s Fucking Go !!!!

Altuve looking for Singleton right after his HR - two guys who’ve walked different paths who were in this organization back in the Ed Wade days, and on the field for Bo Porter - is everything. ❤️

The game was tied vs the Yankees, that game was headed to extra innings

the game tonight, we were headed to a L

We ain't won shit yet, but that one won us a pennant.

Win one of the next two then we move this one up.

#34562

Yeah, one won a pennant.

The other won a game 5 to go up 3-2.  This one could still end up bittersweet.

Not that close.

But, both glorious.

SIAP, but of course you know who was the fastest guy out of the dugout when the benches cleared...Houston blood all the way.

Someone get this cry baby a happy meal

We’re so lucky to have those two.

a bit better than mine. But then, I don’t have to keep any semblance of being unbiased:

Yeah, we should send a gift basket to steroids.

Me too. We did the rookie mistake of counting strikes.

I heard some idiot behind me at the game tonight say 6 more outs after Bregs got rung up to end the 7th.

And that’s when I gave my 9 yo a lesson in the foolishness of counting outs

I don't know about you guys but I am perfectly fine with an Abreu/Singleton pairing manning 1B next year.

or maybe just a healthy abreu that we're seeing right now, but all season?

So... I'm at a buddy's apt.. We're on his patio watching tv in the house with the door open...

He puts on the Astros.

"Nah, man. I can't watch the game. Change it."

So he throws on YouTube and we watch boxing, as we tend to do.

Top of the 9th, he switches on the game.

Him: "Oh, it's over. 4-2 top of the 9th."

Gray: "Close the fucking door. I'm not watching."

I turn on the play by play app.

Bing. Bang. BOOM!

TRASHCAN MOTHE4FUCKERRRRRE!

I apologize for watching the 1st two games, but we're good, because the next Astros game I watch will be in March 2024.

Ya know... My middle name starts with "AL". Considering changing it to Altuve.

Jose Altuve now has 10 career go-ahead postseason home runs, passing Albert Pujols for the most in MLB history. This is his 3rd go-ahead HR in the 9th inning or later of a playoff game, the most by any batter in postseason history.

Not sure if it was discussed, but the funniest part of the game was a half dressed Neris bolting out of the locker room/dugout about a minute after the bullpens had reached the infield. You know he wasn’t going to miss mixing it up.

Hack Wilson is probably #1. That midget drove in 191 runs once with 56 HRs.

damn, I didn't know Hack Wilson was only 5'6".  Probably my grandfather''s favorite player when he was a young man in Chicago.  How the fuck did he play CF with a 25" inseam?

Remember when Altuve took that fastball up around his chin yesterday and everyone at All Lives Matter Park cackled and cheered? I hope these people are miserable right now.
