So, while having my coffee this morning around 8 am, I'm thinking "what time do the Angels play?"

Oh, now? 8 fucking AM and the game is already on.

Yeah, that 1 hour rain delay sucked

I'm in favor of anything that gets guys like Billy Hamilton on the field.

Hell, you can run once an inning with anyone in the lineup in beer league softball. Just gotta make sure that player’s spot doesn’t come up to hit while they’re still on base, then it’s an out.

Vlady jr. Is a BP beast. If you get the chance to go see him put on a show...do it

They are also testing reducing engagements to one.

TJ for Springs.

Hate that.

"pitchers shouldn't face the lineup a third time" is a self fulfilling prophecy. i watch all of these SP's who are 25 and under (and plenty who are older as well), and not only do they all usually get pulled before finishing 6 innings, they usually can't handle anything more than ~5.1 IP and/or 85 pitches. they just suddenly fall apart and can't throw strikes for shit, or if they do throw a strike it's a BP fastball/hanging breaker. we have over coached and over thought this sport into oblivion.

Anthony Rendon is actually starting to pull his fucking weight.   There's been a huge hole behind Shohei and Trout, and he seems to be coming alive.

Bases loaded, no outs in bot 10 for Bos, tied. Refsnyder hits a swinging bunt down the 3B line, Miranda fields & tags the runner going home, throws to first for an extremely unconventional 5-3 DP.

Then Verdugo hits a ball under the foul pole for ballgame anyway.

... which supports my notion that baseball fans have been screwed because Miguel Cabrera spent his career on teams, in cities, with little local or national interest.

Got ‘eem.

Same thing happened on a shitty throw from DJLM to Rizzo last night. Blue banged the out call while ball was bouncing around.

Literally one of the very first things I remember being taught when I started umpiring was "Do not call an out on a tag play unless you see the ball in possession."

I know Happ enjoyed pointing the ball out to that umpire, though.

How can you see the ball when it's in the glove?

If you can't, you say "show me the ball."  Haven't you noticed how often guys make a tag then hold their glove up to the umpire?
