I may have posted about this before, but for the second time this year I listened to the Yankees radio broadcast on satellite radio tonight.

First off all, lol @ the ass kicking.

But, mother fuck that radio pxp guy is so terrible. Susan the color announcer isn't great either but she's Vin Scully compared to this Dave South-esque piece of shit.

Bye Corbin Carroll

Looked like same shit that happened to O'Hoppe. Hurt shoulder....stayed out a few games....came back and then destroyed it

O'Hoppe tore his labrum....let's hope Carroll did not

Corbin Carroll was removed from the game after seeming to injure his shoulder on a swing https://t.co/nrNsnr6vaZ

The only way he gets that ball to first faster is if he runs it over there himself, amirite?!

And Soto doubled in the next AB

Tommy Pham just baited Ha-Seong Kim into going to 3rd here and threw an absolute rocket to throw him out. Wow.

Unreal:

Elly De La Cruz steals second, third, and home. ⚾️🔥 "HE'S GOIN' HOME... THE THROW... HE STOLE HOME! THE MOST THRILLING MAN IN BASEBALL STOLE SECOND, THIRD, AND HOME!"- John Sadak with the Bally Sports Cincinnati call ⚾️🔥🎙️pic.twitter.com/AdJs2Vb1Lh

Shitty division, but some quality Emanski play.

The barehand play off the wall to the missile from shallow right to the soft hands and lunge tag from the catcher. This is art.#ForTheLand

Stealing home on the lob back to the pitcher used to be my move in little league.

LMAO @ the Yankees, down 13-0 to the O's and just let a foul pop drop in between catcher and first baseman.

I can't decide which is my favorite #Birdland

You know the camera guy always looks for the Bensonhurst Guidos.

WHAT THE HELL IS EVEN THAT

I saw a couple of the posts on here about him then I open up ESPN this morning and the first highlight is "de la Cruz steals 2nd 3rd then home"

And that's without mentioning the 2 out go ahead RBI that got him on base.

Looks like he had 47 bags in AA last season then had a 1.000 OPS in AAA this year before being called up.

Always fun when guys have those meteoric rises out of nowhere.

Fantastic...

Complete list of players in MLB history with 32+ homers and 11+ stolen bases in the first half of a regular season:Shohei Ohtani, 2021 (33 homers, 12 stolen bases)Shohei Ohtani, 2023 (32 homers, 11 stolen bases)No one else has ever done it. It's completely ridiculous.

He's good.  What's the early word on where he might break off to for free agency?

Anyway, been off the grid  for the most part for the last ~2 weeks and didn't see the all-star rosters until last night when I got back home.  Very excited to see Bryce Elder on the NL pitching staff.  Then I saw another roster with the 'updates', apparently he has opted not to play.  The fucking blows.  Anybody know why?  Been awhile since we've seen a Longhorn at the Break.

Probably because he pitched on the last day before the break and got lit up.

Ah, makes sense.  Hope he gets to still make the trip and the brew-ha-ha.  Won't be the last time he sees an all-star game from the field.

We laugh but the fact is the last Yankees dynasty arose during George's employment. Yankees would then win their first division, league, and WS titles in 15 years after hiring George. Helped build such a machine they would go on to win 4 of the next 5 WS.

He’s only agreed to coach the remainder of the season. He’s not a long term hire.

Would love for @Helobious comment on this.
