Did not see Chicago making a run at it.....well actually it was more of me giving the Reds way too much credit and didn't think they would collapse

George Kirby was visibly frustrated postgame. He gave up the game-tying two-run homer on his 102nd pitch."I wish I wasn't out there for the 7th to be honest."Says there will be a conversation soon | #SeaUsRise

that is some weak beta shit right there

He knows he sucks after 75 pitches. Servais should know it too.

Jasson Dominguez (20 yrs old) is the youngest MLB player since at least 1901 to homer in 4 of his first 7 career games.

Admittedly, Dominguez has looked pretty good so far. Now do the other youngsters that are on the roster.

I hate the pitchers batting, until this back and forth occurs.

I too was surprised at Acuna's reaction over that particular pitch.  really, that's the one that bugged you?

despite him being a yankee, that’s really shitty news

Yeah, that blows.   I can’t even muster up a dig at Helo.

That makes him the 3rd non-pitcher Yankee to tear his UCL since 2019 I think. There’s something wildly horribly wrong with our strength and conditioning staff. Hopefully he gets the surgery now and takes his time coming back. I know Harper returned in like 5 months when he tore his but it took him a couple more months after to get his power back

This Toronto/Rangers game is full on dumbassery. Mainly by Bassitt at the moment. Dude needs a chill pill lol

Correction: the Baltimore Orioles tonight became the first American MLB team in history to beat every other team at least once in a single season. The Toronto Blue Jays accomplished this back on September 1.

I think the Greinke 3000 Ks dream is over.

He is 34 away. 1-15 on the season with almost 5.50 ERA. Can barely make it 4 innings on a "good" day. Has probably only 3 more starts left and has been getting like at most 4 Ks a start.

Probably come up about 20 short.

Not sure he will get signed anywhere next year to reach 3000.

Maybe Kansas City will bring him back when he’s 58.

Right-hander Max Scherzer is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season with a strained teres major -- a muscle that connects the scapula to the humerus. Scherzer is, Texas GM Chris Young told reporters, "unlikely" to pitch in the playoffs.Brutal news for the Rangers.

Bummer, the boy is like a 10 min walk to Fenway.  Northeastern has a deal where you can get a limited number of student tix for $9.  Gets them to Yanks v Sox tonight, and it’s rained out and rescheduled for tomorrow.  He can’t go tomorrow.

#2942

That didn't take long but I guess he already outlasted Click by a year

Any other shitty tampa GMs still out there?

Just looked at the standings for the NL wild card race, which will get even tighter after the D-Backs finish the Cubs tonight (where Stroman is on for the first time since end of July)

Anthony Rendon, speaking publicly for the first time in two months, revealed Friday that he has been diagnosed with a fractured tibia by doctors outside the purview of the Los Angeles Angels. The Angels have consistently described Rendon's injury as a deep bone bruise.

Asked why the Angels didn't initially announce his injury as a fractured tibia, Rendon said, "You got to ask them."

Angels general manager Perry Minasian didn't respond to a request for comment. A source close to the team told ESPN that Rendon initially saw four doctors -- two chosen by the Angels, two chosen by Rendon's side -- that diagnosed him with a deep bone bruise. A fifth doctor diagnosed him with the fractured tibia. Rendon, who didn't provide details on the process, said the fracture diagnosis occurred while the team visited his hometown to play the Houston Astros during the second week of August.

In retrospect, that play where Ohtani caught the popup was metaphorically the defining play of his career so far
