Well...like .270 or something

I mean it isn't his BA it's the lack of power.

Again - not his fault that he's playing short. But he needs to be a better bat.

He's a good college baseball player. Just not a guy that should be playing for Texas.

This program has never been elite under Pierce and it never will. Flame away but deep down you know I'm right. Getting embarrassed in the CWS is not Elite baseball.

So at this point the staff seems to be as follows: Reliable, know what you are getting and very few, if any, blowups: Gordon, Shaw, Burke, Tole Usually reliable, has had shaky outings but ha

Won a conference game without having to use Morehouse, Tole, LBJ and used Shaw for 1 batter? Yeah, I’ll take that.

Yeah, that's why batting average doesn't tell you much. Last i checked his OPS was under .700.

I get all of that, though it seemed like he had some homers last year.

But if Daly was hitting singles at a .250 clip with RISP we would be a much better team. It is a real problem he almost never gets it done when the table is set.

I want a grass field dammit. There’s grass in Omaha. That should be reason enough.

I vote we just quit commenting about Daly. Maybe he needs some good juju his way. Everyone here knows how fucking awful he's been - there's no point in mentioning it every time he fucks off another AB or fails to make a routine play at short.

Just pretend he's not on the team. It's what he needs. I can feel it.

I also think we should dig up a bunch of comments about Faltine over the past few years. He may have been slightly taken for granted.

Alright nevermind what the fuck is this guy doing?

Andy Fastow would be proud of Daly for somehow winding up the starting shortstop at fucking TEXAS.

What is really amazing is how many great defensive short stops we’ve had in the last 20 plus years. I honestly can’t remember the last below average on d shortstop we’ve had.

You don’t remember the 2019 guy then.  He was terrible.

If Daly was .850 OPS his D at short would honestly be forgivable.

It's that he both can't hit worth a lick and is a below average SS on D.

This is funny but we already have 5 runs.

Who can we wish Pierce to insert at SS that can hit .175?

Or could we put Pierce in at SS and Daly as 3rd base coach?
