IT note on Jahdae Barron

There are some rumors floating that suggest Jahdae Barron is close to returning to Texas.

I cannot corroborate that he's 'close' to returning. I can say his current status is he's deliberating with his inner circle so he can make the best, most informed decision.

This could come down to his draft grade. If it wasn't what he was looking for, coupled with Sark making a compelling pitch, I can see this having a chance.

I don't want to get everyone's hopes up. I won't be answering questions about what the secondary would look like if he returned (though I am dreaming about it lol). The safe thing to do is assume he'll leave and hope he remains if he did receive a grade he can improve upon.

The main takeaway here, at least from what I'm hearing from Texas sources, is he has not made his decision yet. He has until January 15th to do so.

A secondary takeaway is, Sark is really good at pitching potential draftees and giving them things to think about.

Wonder if the final 2 games had an impact. Barron wasn't particularly good in the final 2 games of the year. This would be great news though.

You think Neyor should be making a happy face?

Honestly, he got a better landing spot than I expected.

Barron returning would be fantastic. He can stick at Star and Mukuba take over Thompson’s spot at Safety. He’s great at playing the run and blowing up screens. Having Barron back for another year would basically fix the possibility of Watts leaving.

Oklahoma transfer safety Daeh McCullough has committed to Louisville. The No. 3 player in the state of Indiana in the Class of 2022 was with the Sooners for just one season.@247sportsportal @chris_hummerhttps://t.co/E8aypNcGmO

Not only fix but the entire Watts thing is a lot of wish-casting to begin with. Watts would have to learn a completely new position.

This is true, but Watts was cross trained at safety during an offseason while at Ohio state.

Texas star tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders tells ESPN he’s leaving school early to enter the NFL Draft. He’s ESPN’s No. 2 ranked tight end and projects as a first round pick. He had 45 catches for 682 yards and two touchdowns for Texas this year.

Holden Staes, come on down.

So Orangebloods whiffs on JT Sanders returning and the LB coach hire in a span of about 30 minutes.

How in the actual fuck is anyone surprised by this? Only OB dipshits swallowing Koolaid would have thought he is returning.

I don’t get it either. He’s been consistently ranked as the #2 TE all season behind only Brock Bowers and people expect him to stay? I get being hopeful, but there’s a thin line between that and delusion.

Fat fucks response when called out on Sanders news:

Came from multiple layers. Apparently, Sark really moved him when they met and hope had been built that it had reached agent/industry people. I checked with someone I trust and they were suddenly hopeful after being very pessimistic about it for months.

Appears the emotion wore off when the financials didn't add up.

We were wrong. It happens from time to time. You suck it up and do better next time.

If Sanders had returned being the #2 TE on people’s draft board I would have questioned his sanity.

Sark was thinking about it but ultimately decided it would be too many Blacks

It’s like OB is trying to drive up subscription cancellations so they can get a head start in their 2024 tax losses.

No way, that’s their model-copy Texaags.

Presumably finding the fans willing to shell out $10 a month AND wanting to experience life as a rollercoaster is a more durable subscription model than touting accurate, well-sourced reporting.

So if Barron comes back, does he or Mukuba play safety?
Barron stays at Star and Mukuba moves to safety replacing the portal'd Jerrin Thompson.

He honestly contemplated returning per a family member. I think he made the correct decision for himself and family IMO.

Good news, Longhorn fans. According to multiple sources, after three days of contemplating if he would enter the NFL Draft, Barryn Sorrell will return to Texas for the 2024 season.

I am not believing this until some entity that isn't Orangebloods confirms it. But huge if true!
