Is there anyone to call and report?  UTPD used to have a bike theft division back in the day. Can’t find anything online.

*LVM with UTPD lost and found.

Did you steal it? Or how do you know it is stolen?

This is where I'm at.

Been laying in our alley parking lot for a week hidden. Not a residential building

It’s also a spot many homeless use to do drugs out of view of the street.

I had a friend that chased a guy down the street for stealing a bike from the side of someone's house.  It was a bright yellow bike and part of the Austin free bike initiative or whatever it was called - which was a resounding success.

I have had three bikes stolen while living in Austin: A BMX bike when I was a kid, a mountain bike in college, and a road bike in grad school.

Not to mention a couple of seats and a wheel.

Fuck thieves.

edit: Pos emoticon to OP for trying to do the right thing.

If an unsecured bike is still there after a week it’s a piece of crap that nobody wanted anyway.

I've had a few bikes stolen over the years, and would vote for an instant death penalty for bike thieves. And cat (catalytic converter) thieves while we're at it.
