May 10, 20232 yr Damn, just found out he passed away on May 6th. He had a great influence on music, especially in the 1990s, whether as a graphic designer for gig posters and album art, or with his amazing label Man’s Ruin. He also lived in Austin for several years. http://www.frankkozik.net/about.html A bunch of his famous posters: https://kotaku.com/frank-kozik-rip-mans-ruin-poster-art-90s-nirvana-death-1850422269 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Kozik
May 10, 20232 yr Author That sucks. He did more for the art design of 90s alternative music than anyone. Yep. I am guessing all the 35-50 year old posters on this site have seen his art, gif posters, album art and might not know it was Kozik. Plus QOTSA’s first album was released on his Man’s Ruin label. I kick myself for not buying that vinyl back in the day. Plus releases from Fu Manchu, Melvins, Unsane, Desert Sesssions (I do have a couple of them on vinyl) and many more.
May 10, 20232 yr I've got a couple larger 4 color gig posters of his I"ve been meaning to get framed. Jesus Lizard at Cannibal Club, and Danzig with opening act Soundgarden at The Unicorn in Houston.

I have the '91 Butthole Surfers/Pigface/Bad Livers at the Unicorn poster signed by Kozik hanging on the wall.
