I don't think they can be compared to El Patio since those are light and airy and these are thick and crunchy but your waistline isn't going to survive that one-two punch.

I liked the hatch flavor more than the guajillo but these chips are amazing in any flavor.

And Utz chips aren’t as crunchy either in my experience. But I did sort of like their Red Hot chips. They had a decent zing.

When they're around the house, I find it hard to eat less than half a bag in one sitting.

Don't see them out this way very often, but whenever I'm back East, I pick up a bag or two at local 7-Elevens. Good stuff.

They’ve got more zip than the plain Voodoo chips, and also the Hotter ‘N Hot Jalapeño chips which have the added bonus of not tasting like jalapeño. At all. But I’ll still eat them. I’m really not even that big of a fan of kettle cooked potato chips but I buy Zapp’s from time to time and Voodoo Heat more than any of the others. They’ve got a little tang like salt and vinegar chips then some of the flavors found in Cajun/Creole spices like paprika, cayenne, garlic, and onion. They don’t have much of a kick but they’re still pretty dang tasty. I haven’t seen Doritos Flamas at Kroger or Giant Eagle/Market District in awhile but I found them at Meijer today and bought a bag. I also found a bag of Tapatio flavor which I hadn’t encountered locally before and bought a bag of those. I’m taking them both to the potluck for us election workers at my polling location tomorrow.
November 6, 20241 yr I’m happy to report that those Tapatio Doritos kick ass. They exceeded my expectations. Very tasty and a nice little kick. Will get again.

I've had times where the spicey/sweet jumps out at you, and time when they're just tasty. Imo, they are tasty enough that I'm okay with the varied level of heat.
November 6, 20241 yr It's a bit of a departure on this thread, but I TRY to lean a little Keto friendly. Wilde chips available from Amazon have a nice variety of flavors. If you like Buffalo flavor theirs is very consistently spicy and tasty. The BBQ and Waffle are interesting for sure. I personally go a different direction for salt and vinegar, but getting the mix bag might be worth a try. I've not tried the queso so.. they are also available at Krogers, not that anyone goes there, but at least it's usually open. Sorry if these were discussed up thread. I admit I didn't read all 8 pages.

I'm pretty sure she'd buy organic toilet paper if it were an option.

I mean.. it's organic chicken.. right?? Edit - Has a lot of stamps.. gluten free, inspected, paleo, and.. wait for it.. NATIVE tapioca starch. Who doesn't love that? November 7, 20241 yr I tried some of those buffalo chicken chips, maybe a different brand. at first bite they were kinda interesting but after a few I was done. thought they were strange and definitely not worth the price. if you’re doing keto some things you just have to sacrifice.

January 24Jan 24 I liked the Golden Sriracha, but wanted more heat. If you like the Spicy Sweet Chili in the purple bag, the Golden Sriracha are similar. Habanero Doritos in the matte gray bag and orange accents were the hottestDorito I've ever had. They need to bring them back.

January 24Jan 24 I was like WTF is "golden sriracha" Golden sriracha" refers to a sriracha sauce made with yellow chili peppers, typically offering a sweeter, more complex flavor profile with a lingering heat compared to "red sriracha" which is the classic, bright red sriracha with a more upfront, intense spiciness; essentially, golden sriracha leans towards tangy and sweet notes while red sriracha focuses on pure heat. then... firstcuriositynowattention.gif
January 24Jan 24 I had some of those golden sriracha chips last week. They're fine. Not spicy at all but a decent sweet chili flavor. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy them.

January 24Jan 24 I know they've been posted all over the board but damn these are the best store-bought basic tortilla chips. The ingredient list is perfect too: Stone Ground White Corn, Canola Oil, Trace of Lime, Salt On the flip, highly chemical, side I've had some luck with this mixture for tv snack night: + + +
