Picked up a huge bag from Costco a while back. Taste like you'd expect but nothing special. Ended up not finishing the bag before they went stale.

Thanks, that'll save me $6

I liked them when I had them a while back, but not great.  I like the spicy dill pickle goldfish crisps, decent spice level and the crisps are a lot less calories.

When you said splurge, I didn’t know you meant a $23 bag of chips!  But by the time I got to the 99 ranch, I was already all in. Damn tasty though!

$23 for a bag of chips?  pass.

Yet another new Doritos flavor. I had high hopes and bought a bag. My hopes were dashed. I can taste the jalapeño but they’re not hot at all. They’re extremely mild. Huge disappointment.

Costco SW had the Wilde Nashville Hot bags for $10 last week. I picked up a bag on Friday and thought they were really good for what they are. Went back Tuesday to buy some more and they were all gone. Manager said she didn't think they were getting more, but other Costcos might still have them.

You paid $10 for a 4 oz bag of "protein chips"?  WTF?

Yea I thought they were expensive when I paid $4 for a bag at a convenient store two years ago.   Then I stopped again a month later and they were marked down to $2 something because they quit carrying them so I bought the last four bags they had.  I like their chips but I’ve found lower calorie higher protein chips for much less now.

I’m guessing he mean’t $10 for four bags…

Well he says he picked up “a bag” at Costco.

My guess is that it was a much bigger bag than the pic he posted.

I went back and looked at prior purchases. Not sure where I came up with $10, but in fairness to me I was responding to a post talking about the expensive nature of healthier foods, iirc. I double checked and I am paying around $6-7 for 4 oz bags or about $2.70 for 1.33 Oz bags in packs.

Costco sells the 7oz bags

the good news is those chips taste like a dog’s asshole right after his anal glands have been expressed so tracking them down at costco or sam’s or wherever else is entirely unnecessary.

I've certainly never spent as many decades tossing dog salads as you have, but the Wilde Buffalo and Nashville Hot flavors taste pretty good when you're doing keto and not touching corn or potato chips.

pork rinds and queso for keto

I have plenty of chicharrones. Most queso is made with Velveeta or some shitty equivalent and has a shitload of carbs/calories. I stick with salsa and some sour cream.

But you get tired of chicharrones after a while and those Wilde chips are a nice break.

You, of all people, would blast those chips if you weren’t trying to lose weight.

Demonstrably false. These chips are made out of chicken breasts and egg whites, which I eat all the time, regardless of whether I'm doing keto.

If they were $10/bag and made out of quinoa, alfalfa, chia seeds, psyllium husks and dried algae, then you might have a point.

I have the Chicken and Waffles flavor that's been sitting on my counter for a couple months after not liking the Nashville Hot very much. I thought the Quest Chili Lime were better in the protein chips department.

This year’s finalists.

I am not a big fan of flavored potato chips and still prefer Lays original potato chips with a sandwich or burger.

I have often wondered what kind of shit they are using to make those flavors.

noticed them at Costco for the first time last week

Intrigued about those.

What will be interesting is how the colors will change on these flavored chips when the ban on certain dyes start.

It's more of a mission statement for crackers, if I'm honest, but if they would make slightly-burnt Wheat Thins as a stand-alone thing, I would buy it a lot.

Now I'm wondering how much Wheat Thins could benefit from a few minutes in the air fryer.  Hmm

The two largest customers of Schilling McCormick, collectively accounting for about 22% of its revenue, are Walmart and PepsiCo. Additionally, a significant portion of McCormick's business, roughly 40%, comes from food manufacturers and restaurants. McCormick's flavor solutions portfolio caters to various industries, including grocery stores, online retailers, and quick-service restaurants, further demonstrating their diverse customer base.

Pretty good. The flavor reminds me of the Lay’s Chile Limon chips, but the lime isn’t nearly as overpowering. I’m not writing an essay about my love for them, but I’ll most likely kill the whole bag by the end of the day.

6 minutes at 370 with a shake up in the middle is pretty warm and tasty.

In a copycat industry like foodstuffs, I’m surprised they haven’t done this yet after seeing the box of overbaked cheez-its hit shelves.

It's like a good brisket rub.  It's pretty good on everything.

Not good at all. Tastes like the Mexican street corn and Salsa Verde flavors mixed together, but not as hot as the salsa verde and with an overpowering lime flavor. 2/10

When I walk past the chip aisle and see a new specialty flavor of the HEB brand chips, they usually entice my palate.  But usually they all end up tasting like a slight variation of the same salt-forward dusted flavored chip.

I say that, and its Memorial Day weekend, so I'm probably going to pick up one or both of those bags and eat the whole goddamned thing.

I do not believe I have seen any iteration of cucumber flavor on chips before.  Would try, if the closest HEB wasn't 120 miles away.

I'm usually a plain-old, Kettle potato chip man myself. Therefore, this has been my go-to at Central Market for a while now

No spicyness, and not overpowering on the lime or cucumber but it’s definitely there. Not a bad choice at all.

Chili cheese fries are fine, but they taste just like the chili cheese Fritos except they’re potato chips not corn chips. Kinda meh but still not bad at all.

Bought a bag of these Cheetos.  The dill pickle is very forward and bright, then the hot flies in.  Wife did not like.  I didn’t at first but they are oddly addictive.  Not go buy another bag addictive though.
