June 15, 20232 yr USOpen.com is streaming the featured group (Morikawa, Scheffler, Homa). Seems a bit laggy, but better than nothing. https://www.usopen.com/watch.html

Fuck NBC for putting the morning rounds on their bullshit Peacock network, and fuck the USGA for contractually allowing it. Help us Yasir Al-Rumayyan, you're our only hope. I don't think I get the Al Jazeera network either.

June 15, 20232 yr That putt on 12 was fucking great. He barely touched it and zoom. These greens, and the course, are not disappointing for an open.

June 15, 20232 yr Idk. Any US Open course that gives up a record-breaking 62 is not up to standard. The USGA uses to shoot for 1 under being the winning score. It’s gets easier every fucking year now to the point it’s becoming the easiest setup
June 15, 20232 yr I don't mind the course being scorable but what's annoying is all of the tools during the week being like "Guys... THIS is what the rough looks like at LACC this week", "Just WATCH where this ball winds up on the 14th fairway", "Someone just shared with me this video of the 9th green. Nuts." If you're gonna play up the course every single year then maybe it shouldn't have multiple guys posting sub 64s on the first day. Or finishing in the teens.

So he'd have a brutal drive on the 110 south to the 10 west to National, then south to Olympic, east to Beverly Glen, and the south to Wilshire, right to LACC. That's how the locals would do it.
June 15, 20232 yr I wouldnt put too much into low scoring on day 1. We've seen it in majors before, and then the winning score ends up being -5 or something lol
June 15, 20232 yr So two guys so far break the all time record low for 18 holes at a US Open. Need to rename it the Greensboro Open [emoji35]

Highland park is the LA spurs home bar. ( greyhound ). I live in garden grove… 22 to 405 hov. ( solo driver gives no fucks )

The exception being years where the winner is around par or over par you might have a guy fire a -1 or -2 in R1.
June 15, 20232 yr Rory going with the Saturday collapse this major. He really keeps you on your toes.

June 15, 20232 yr Kind of a strange outfit. Airmaxes with calf socks a tennis skirt and then like a weird polo? She needs to lose the polo for a tight, cutoff tank top.
June 15, 20232 yr @kingkoopa6 How is that course for the gallery? The NLU guys had expressed a concern that it wouldn’t be a great experience.
June 15, 20232 yr It wasn’t as up close and personal as farmers or genesis. Prolly cuz the wide fairways. it’s def not kind to spectators. Weekend might be better with less players to try and follow Concessions and restrooms near by a lot so that’s awesome if you wanted to get close to tee shots or putting it wasn’t hard

June 15, 20232 yr One thing that pisses me off about the LACC is that it sits on 313 prime acres in Beverly Hills that I’ve seen value estimates as high as $6-9 billion. They pay $300K/yr. in property taxes. Are they classified as a church? No wonder California is broke. Edited June 15, 20232 yr by TonyTexas

June 16, 20232 yr Skyline in the background is Beverly Hills I'm assuming? Forgot how much it stands out.

June 16, 20232 yr Rory to -6 through 15. Brooks may have poked the bear. It's been my theory for awhile. Edited June 16, 20232 yr by ztejas
June 16, 20232 yr Prop 13 yo Oh, and not brokeThat’s one cool thing cali does on property taxes. I have 3 guys out there that haven been in their house for 30 plus years. If taxes went up like property values they would be in Nevada or Arizona.
