If your guys get a result against Newcastle and LFC beats Cardiff, it virtually assures you'll be in the PL next season. That's quite a turnaround from where Hughes had you guys.

No such luck, but Brighton losing to Cardiff was pretty much a push in regards to the Saints' chances toward staying up.

the record reminded me of another record Southampton holds that seems unbreakable.

the quickest Premier League hat-trick - Sadio Mane netting three times for Southampton against Aston Villa in 2 minutes 56 seconds in 2015.
