August 30, 20232 yr Looks like they've made their decision on the final attacker: https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/38289527/chelsea-consider-move-sign-man-city-cole-palmer-sources I was thinking they were looking for a player that profiled as a #9, but obviously I was dead ass wrong.
August 31, 20232 yr I'm still taking this as progress - last year's curse would have seen our finishers miss that open goal.
September 2, 20232 yr Enzo's gotta do better there. I know it happened quickly, but he shot it right at the keeper in the middle of the goal, and still a yard over. Any corner would've done.
September 2, 20232 yr Caicedo looks better today but he is still making too many mistakes. Gallagher is just bad.
September 2, 20232 yr Holy fuck. I'm unable to watch because it's on USA. Doesn't look like I'm missing much. I did warn y'all in the EPL thread. Forest is good.
September 2, 20232 yr We spent around a billion dollars on players and still don’t have one that can consistently threaten the goal. Brilliant.

September 2, 20232 yr Sanchez just threw an outlet pass straight into the back of a Forest defender. WTF?
September 2, 20232 yr Just now, RichUT said: Sanchez just threw an outlet pass straight into the back of a Forest defender. WTF? Oh yeah there's also that. 1B and we don't have a fucking keeper. I heard Boehly was shipping munitions to Russia. Let's get the rumor started.
September 2, 20232 yr sterling totally fucked that up and now turner has a chance for an extremely difficult clean sheet at the bridge
September 2, 20232 yr sterling totally fucked that up and now turner has a chance for an extremely difficult clean sheet at the bridgeSterling fucked it up? He cut it back and Jackson had a tap in from 6 feet out. The ball wasn’t as clean as it could be, but you absolutely have to put that on frame from that distance.
September 2, 20232 yr sterling had 2 options to play through before he got in the box and forest collapsed on him very sterling
September 2, 20232 yr Sterling is the only one that seems to have any ambitions to score. He’s not perfect but he’s not the problem.
September 2, 20232 yr Sterling created an open-net tap-in. It wasn't the prettiest build-up in history, but it worked. He's not the one who airballed the alley-oop...
September 17, 20232 yr Very underwhelmed by the last half hour of that match. There were some solid moments in the first half and they opened the 2nd half reasonably well, but around the 60 minute mark they just seemed to lose interest. We spent a billion dollars and we’re a mid-table team at best.
September 24, 20232 yr Looking more dangerous in the early minutes of the second half. Let's fucking go, guys.
September 24, 20232 yr Sterling has to lay that off to Jackson for the tap in. It looked like it was maybe onside and he can’t be that selfish unless he’s 100% to score.

Completely agree. Raheem had another breakaway a couple of minutes earlier where he could've pulled it back across the 6 yard box. That one was debatable, but the second one was clearly a little selfish.
September 24, 20232 yr Well we’re down to 10. I think that’s a fairly harsh decision. Awkward challenge for sure but it was bang bang and he got the ball first.
September 24, 20232 yr He definitely got the ball, and he didn't go over the top off the ball studs up, which is always straight red. But it was a pretty nasty spiking on the follow through. I feel like a lot of refs think that's a red and a lot think it's a yellow.
September 24, 20232 yr Sigh. I just don’t see a team built to succeed. Poch has to be frustrated as all hell.
September 24, 20232 yr That's the Chelsea season in a nutshell: free header goes 5 feet wide, and he was offside anyway, while 12 guys are out injured.
September 27, 20232 yr So, games where we dominate time of possession, we can't win or even score. But if you give us <40%, we'll eek one out...
September 29, 20232 yr This is fun: Leicester have scored more Premier League goals than Chelsea in 2023. Leicester were relegated in May.
October 2, 20232 yr Wait...are we actually allowed to score 2 goals in a single game? A win is a win!!!!
