I missed the news that we found a shirt sponsor. I knew it would happen but it’s still a bummer.

But if adding the sponsor helped us find the back of the net, add 5 more.

Wait...are we actually allowed to score 2 goals in a single game?

Or win back to back games.

Look out, City, Poch has it figured out!

Nope.

At this point we will happily take an own goal.

I'll take a phantom pen.

LOL and we take the lead on a pen.

4 goals? In one game? Is such a thing even possible?

In all seriousness, Sterling is an easy choice for MoM. He’s been in the middle of everything good today. It’s great to see.

I was watching and saw Raheem's goal - flipped away right before Jackson scored.

We look good. The passing looks really smart.

Bit of a Derby today, innit?

We're on big boy NBC. 1130 CT.

Can we buy a fucking keeper Jesus Christ. Spend all this fucking money and we have this JAG in net.

Brentford - 1

Collection of players who look as if they just met but cost South America's GDP - 0  (at home)

2-0 up on Arsenal to losing to Brentford at home.

We have less heart than a dead possum melting on the side of the highway.

L...  O...  motherfucking...  god...   damned...  L...

I will take those 3 points.  Also, Thiago Silva has a source for the fountain of youth, or the waterboy's melted glacier water...

A well earned 0 points at Goodison today.

I feel like I should get a gift card from the Megastore for sitting through the whole two hours worth.

Can we change the thread title to just say “We’re shit”?

I've never seen a team with this much talent (or should I say "talent") be this fucking horrendous.

I mean it's downright impressive how bad they are at this point. The two teams I watched play for the MLS cup yesterday would have made Everton sweat those 3 points more.

We are now on multiple seasons without an effective attack. Not even competent.  Different players, different managers. Same results. 😖

Alrighty, let's see if we can get all 3 points, at home, from the worst team in the top flight.  Maybe?  Yeah?  Try, at least?

400 passes in a half and 1 shot on target.

How?

Broja is just a little bit less than clinical.

The bright side of this match being in 4k is that I can watch our total ineptitude in stunning clarity.

Dumb yellow on Sterling for simulation means we will be down Palmer and Sterling vs. Palace in our next match. Super.

Why does the accumulation of yellow cards suspension still exist? Is it changing player behavior in any way?

Maybe Boehly will drop dead of a brain aneurysm.

I mean we can only hope.

Insomnia's got me here early for the Chelsea nightmare.  Maybe we'll win.  Hell with it.

I'll take credit for that goal with my negativity.

Holy fuck they almost found a way to drop points to Luton from up 3-0.

I turned it on to see us up 3-0.  Turned it back off at 3-2, figuring I was cursing them somehow.  You're all welcome.

I tried to watch at work - forgot that they just replay the game and there's no ET/pens.

Villa has been in crazy form this season, too - going to be hard to steal a win on the road.

Caicedo thru ball to Palmer, one-time finish, lovely.

Palmer now with 12 goals in his last 21 apps.  Kid is good and getting better.

Annnnnnnnnnd Chelsea give it right back, because Chelsea.

The faces of the fans at The Bridge say it all.

We are a fucking joke. It's hard to take this club seriously or support it under this ownership.

Speaking of our amazing owners, looks like they made another outstanding hire:

https://theathletic.com/5251686/2024/02/05/todd-kline-tottenham-chelsea/

Tottenham Hotspur’s chief commercial officer Todd Kline has resigned from his post and, after a period of gardening leave, will join Chelsea.

Kline joined Spurs three years ago, with one of his main aims to secure naming rights for the stadium. As the “About Me” section of his LinkedIn page says: “Tottenham have appointed a former NFL executive as the club’s first chief commercial officer to aid the search for a lucrative naming-rights partner for their stadium.”

He leaves with that not having happened, and on Monday morning Spurs put a statement on their website saying: “Todd Kline has resigned from his post at the club and has been placed on a period of garden leave with immediate effect.”

Kline instantly set about raising standards after being appointed, but a number of members of the commercial department left following his arrival. Some left without jobs to go to, and as The Athletic reported last year, there were question marks about his leadership.

Kline’s new role at Chelsea has not yet been confirmed but it will be a senior position within the business operations.[/spolier]
