See?  Led Daly off with a meat breaking pitch that should have been parked in the trees.

Losing a ball in the bottom of the ninth is the definition of a gutless choke.

They call Arkansas chokers and deservedly so. Sorry man, cant do that in the biggest moment of the season. We gotta own the choke on this one. Jesus what a way to lose.

Led Thomas off with a high breaking ball.

Sit on the MF-ing breaking ball and changeup.  The ONLY swing at a fastball is to foul it off and get to the next pitch.  For fuck's sake, it's not that hard.

Those changeups are making our hitters look foolish.

Not to justify our bad at bats, but he's made hitters look bad all year. He's damn good.

And...led PP off with...a...high breaking ball.

Seems like we have hit an oddly large number of ground outs to the first baseman this series.

I mean, we suck shit against shitty LHP.  This guy's actually good.

Pretty sure you argued against this being a big deal.

The first time a guy does it, it shows. I’m sure that’s why they mixed in some DH starts throughout the year and got Galvan a lot of work in non conference and midweek games.

If Guillemette comes back next year then this experience will benefit him.

So, just spitballing here, what does a game 3 look like for us?  Shaky Witt?

Them?

I've been reading legal analysis by greenspoint?

3 batters, three absolutely meat first pitch breaking balls.  Followed by another or a changeup.  Threw 2 fastballs in the inning and those were to set up the change up.  PP laid off those, then was looking for the FB in (can't blame him) and got a front door breaking ball.

If they'll fucking sit on the offspeed and look to go opposite field, they'll be able to handle anything he throws.  The only contact they're making with his offspeed stuff is weak pull ground balls because they're WAY early and just dragging the bat through the zone.

Has anybody seen a shot of our dugout to see if there actually any coaches in there interacting with the players?  Maybe some type of strategy discussions for our batters?

Like @ClubWhatever mentioned, Stanford should just start Dowd tomorrow. Would be dumb not to.

I'm sure they will. He's pitched the 3rd or 4th most innings on the team. Who else would start? The guy who pitched the 9th yesterday?

Yeah, Scott has been their 3rd starter. Dowd started some games for them early in the year before moving to the pen.
