Not sure what anyone can do but shake hands and get on the bus. We got about all we could hope to get from this banged-up roster. Great season, guys. Next year will be better. Exactly right. It sucks. It sucks a lot. But I’m not sure what else you do. It clearly wasn’t easy to see. Everyone but one guy lost it. We have about as good a defensive outfield as it gets in college baseball and they lost it. Im pouring a bourbon. Tough night. Maybe we can get Sykora to campus.

That's not a choke. It was a pop fly that got lost in the lights. Doesn't happen much but happened tonight. This team fought all the way, and never quit--not going to call them chokers because of this moment. They call Arkansas chokers and deservedly so. Sorry man, cant do that in the biggest moment of the season. We gotta own the choke on this one. Jesus what a way to lose.

June 13, 20232 yr Calling this team gutless is quite possibly the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen on this site, and I’ve been on here since the start. I mean even CR doesn’t get that stupid.
June 13, 20232 yr 1 minute ago, Braff Zacklin said: Ouch. Congrats to Tree. They could've folded after having their hearts broke Saturday night. Both these teams battled their asses off. Super proud of our 'Horns. This'll be an unpopular opinion, but this was a decent season given the current state of the roster. Hope Texas comes back stronger in 2024! We over achieved it was a great season actually. There were 10-11 teams left playing today that’s better than we expected. Texas baseball is magic. Next year will be a great ride too.

Kind of fitting for a team that flirted with greatness and disaster numerous times to end up in the pretty good zone. We had two good transfers this year. Let's get more than two for next year. *shared with 2 other teams in the worst year ever for big 12 baseball

It's been an issue for a long time, he has never had a deep staff in 7 years at Texas. I don’t know if that’s true. Our staff was plenty deep in the covid year, and the year after. This years is pretty deep before injuries but thems the breaks.

June 13, 20232 yr The Joe Cook think piece titled “David Pierce is a Winner” was the kiss of death. What a jinx. You write that article after hoisting a national championship trophy. Not after you eek out a Big 12 Regular Season Championship.

June 13, 20232 yr Two really good outfielders both lost it in the twilight sky. What a kick to the testicular area. I still love em.

Those OFs have saved our ass all postseason, including tonight, and they couldn’t find the ball. We were undermanned and took them the distance in Game 3. Lost on a fluke. Not a choke.

June 13, 20232 yr Thing was, that was a super-hard hit for a pop fly, so I'm guessing it went sky high before anyone in the OF could start tracking it. And if you have to start tracking it on the way down, you're fucked. And if it's coming almost straight down in twilight, you're superfucked.
June 13, 20232 yr Prob too soon for this- but we need to get back to hosting in Austin for this exact reason. Every time the camera panned for a wide angle shot, those low-ass softball field light poles were right there in the field of view.

June 13, 20232 yr Tough break. That’s about the unluckiest I’ve ever seen and not just that one play. I don’t believe I’ve ever witnessed a walk off from a lost ball.

June 13, 20232 yr 2016 was a low point. 2019 was a low point. This was merely unfortunate. Fortunately since it was played at night on the west coast hardly anybody but us saw it anyway.
June 13, 20232 yr Augie won his first nc at texas in year 5 cliff won his in year 8 falk won 2 in year 3 and 4 time for pierce to win one in year 8 or gtfo

You should maybe look at who is committed to come in pitching wise. Or just follow Cougar high.
