well that seems completely normal in this day & age
I think they don't want US lawmakers that the Saudi's plan to take over the world using sports as a Trojan Horse to infiltrate capitalist countries - you have been warned

Yeah, totally didn't see this coming.  eyeroll

It's not like we've cow-bowed to them before in the public sphere.  Hmmmm, who could possibly be helping them on our shores?  No fucking clue.  It's literally impossible so many American golf fans are this fucking stupid.

This is all just a conveniently-timed fucking coincidence.  To be fair, I am super proud that so many of you will be able to tie your shoes tomorrow though.  Top notch!

Posted this on the Master's thread but apropos this thread too. Last year there was a drive to show up because they wanted to prove that they could still compete. This year, most of the dude's don't give a shit about competing on any tour. They've made the 10s/100s of $Millions and are basically entertainers. They are no longer athletes who compete.

Also Rahm made a comment that Cantlay and Homa gave him the cold shoulder at the Masters. What the fuck did you think was gonna happen, Jon? You sold out. Your peers think way less of you.

Supposedly Phil did say much during the Champions dinner. I think they are in their final stage of Grief. They accept that they've ruined friendships and their legacy by selling out.

How it started.

how it's going

So we can expect Rory to join LIV in 3 months. His 180 on LIV stance especially as it relates to Ryder Cup is interesting. Maybe it all makes sense because he's going to bail. If $850M number is true, no one can blame him. Fuck him, but good for him.

Fuck them. I think the PGA Tour ought to circle the wagons and just bar the LIV guys that aren’t qualified from PGA events and US/British/PGA Champ moving forward. Pay the PGA guys more and just strangle the LIV by not including them. It might take five years, it might take 10 but they’ve got the events. Just don’t let them play.

Agreed. They got their big fish with Rahm and it didn’t move the needle at all. Enough time has passed to state that LIV is a failure. They can money whip whoever they want and nothing will change. Ratings will be shit and most fans will move on from following players that join in the future.

PGA Tour should hold their ground.

Yes I know the irony that I care enough to post it but this meme is funny especially as it applies to LIV.

LIV relegation.  I recall reading that LIV was going to be like premier league soccer in that if you didn't make the grade you/your would be cut.  Has anything like that happened?  I assume the major players got a no cut- no relegation deal..
