Chelsea brings out the worst in these guys. They play mind games and spurs fall for it. Woulda coulda shoulda, don’t get baited into playing shit-house. They will dominating this game until the red card.

This Dele Alli interview dropped this morning. This is woah. What's happened in recent years? Addiction. But it's rooted in a lot of stuff. I recommend watching.

Gonna be a lot missing this week (Romero and Udogie too).

It was obvious from the begining that our starting 11 were excellent but we do not have the depth to compete with injuiries to key players but let's see what Ang can pull off.

Hearing Mickey had a similar injury that kept him out 10 weeks. Hopefully, he's back sooner.

Holy shit. Madders injury much worse than initially thought. Ange said a couple of months for him.

Mickey out for a couple of months as well.

Motherfucker!

Bale was at the game Monday. Any chance we could sign him to a 3 month contract to play left back? 😅

COYS!!!

Let's get all three here and go into the international break on a high.

BJ!!!!!!!

That's how we respond to Monday!!!

I'm up. Saw the first goal from bed.

We must be leading the league in cards at this point

Tied

Going into the game it was:

Wolves 38 (35/3)

Spurs 36 (33/3)

Chelsea 36 (35/1)

But with 2 cards today Spurs are now level 35/3

It's just a matter of time before Wolves score.  We haven't looked this bad since Conte.

It's understandable given who we're missing, but still.

Yeah that was coming
Not getting a goal from Son was going to bite ua

It didn't help that we blew our chance right when we got the last corner. It was a big chance and they rushed it and it cost them.

That's twice we've let a Wolves player through free.

And again.

Depth was always going to be our achiles heel

Jesus fucking Christ.

It's going to be a long fucking time until February.

Let's see what the international break brings. Postecoglou is going to have to widen his player pool. I think some of the players on the outs can help.

Romero, VDV, Maddison, and Udogie are probably the hardest players to replace on the starting 11 outside of Vicario.

Some of the players on the outs are going to be too tough to break away from Conte ball to play Ange's style.  Unfortunately, we don't have a choice.  I don't know how many times today Hojbjerg failed to press the attack with his passing, but it seemed he was constantly passing backwards.  We don't have a metronome in the midfield for Ange's style of play without Maddison.  And fucking Bissouma has gone off the rails. This felt like a PTSD flashback to earlier in 2023 when Antonio was ready to punch out.

The only hope is that Lo Celso can turn a corner.  I thought Dier was fine, and Davies was fine.  Should get Udogie back  after the break which will be a big help.

Watching Wolves play was like watching Spurs from just a few weeks ago.

Am i the only one that thought the double hands to the face on Son should have been a foul?

No, and Dawson's shithousery went largely unpunished all afternoon.

I forgot who it was that also got a forearm to the face in the first half while on the ground. Porro or Johnson, can't remember.

That's not why we lost though. We lost because we turtled after the first goal and Wolves stayed on the front foot.

Gonna be a long break for 2 weeks.

Good read put up today by Grace:

This summer, Tottenham Hotspur sold their best player in the history of the football club and hired a new manager to radically change the style of play. This team finished eighth last season with Harry Kane. It's truly Year Zero at the stadium that should be called White Hart Lane.

At least it was supposed to be. Spurs and new boss Ange Postecoglou came flying out of the gate, winning eight of their first ten matches and encouraging everyone to say “mate” a lot. It was as though Kane never even happened. It was as though the last four years never happened. Then the last two matches brought them down to earth a bit. More significantly, they now have some real injury concerns that could derail the good work done so far. This feels as good a time as any to take stock on where Tottenham actually are.

I recommend reading it, but the TL;DR is that she gives Postecoglou a lot of credit for putting them in this position. She notes that the team will have to weather an injury storm, but as a whole, they are set up well for a good run.

Weird - one angle looks offside. Another looks on.

<Jeopardy song>

We also can’t get our chances to go in. Lots of opportunities, nothing but 1 goal.
